Modern yet satisfying—and deeply mysterious—this Major Arcana edition of The Portland Tarot gets the job done: It’s your daily bridge to the divine.

My name is Theresa Pridemore and I am the Portland artist/designer/creator of The Portland Tarot deck. After successfully selling out of my first edition, I'm seeking your support to print a new edition of the Major Arcana version of my 23 card deck.

Why Portland?

Created purposefully to guide independent (even renegade!) souls on their journeys, The Portland Tarot is inspired by the City of Bridges, whose culture, spirit, and quirky, creative citizenry make Portland  such a natural choice as backdrop for this deck.

Why People Loved the First Edition Deck

Whether once-shy of Tarot or deeply experienced, people often tell me that the modern imagery of The Portland Tarot is a great bridge for intuition. The smaller Major Arcana deck is also perfect for beginners, and the revised guide book co-written with Jamie Morris is going to be a stellar aid.

What Comes with a Deck Package

Here are the planned features for the second edition of the deck:

• 23 4" x 6" major arcana cards with unique, digitally-collaged artwork (the more-or-less usual 22 plus a new "The Weird" card)
• 3 "Bridge Cards" with reading themes (great for use by pro Tarot readers)
• An instruction booklet with basic Tarot reading instructions and 23 interpretations

This pack will be printed with images only on a white, folded card and accompanying envelopes. The each card will feature artwork only, with no labels, so you can give these cards to anyone, even if they are unfamiliar with Tarot. (Though the card title will be displayed on the back of the card.)

Will There Be a Full Deck Someday?

Yes, the 79 card deck is slated to be completed in Fall/Winter of 2014. Due to printing constraints and differing dimensions, there will be no add-on pip decks created.
