The movie takes place during the final days
of the Third Reich. In April 1945, Germany is close to losing the Second World
War while most of the country lies in ashes. The Red Army is close to Berlin
and the US Army fought their way from the Normandy to German grounds. The Third
Reich is close to its downfall. At this point, the US Army is close to Kassel,
twenty kilometres away from the location our movie takes
place: The Hüssenberg.
Back in 929, theland beneath the Hüssenberg
was still known as Eastern France and was under reign of Carolingian Karl III.
For protecting and expanding his lands, he formed an alliance with the Vikings,
but his enemies lured him into a trap. Karl was imprisoned and left for dead in
jail while his allied Vikings were slain by Franconian soldiers on the
Hüssenberg. Outnumbered they had no chance of winning, but by finding death in
battle they earned their passage to Valhalla.

Now, under the
command of General Wollf,an SS special unit called
Odessa has constructed an
excavation site on this very spot, trying to realize Heinrich Himmler’s occult
beliefs. Archaeological excavations took place all around the area of
Paderborn, starting at the famous Wewelsburg. When
Odessa found the lost diary
of Karl The Third, all hopes to reach the
Endsieg were relocated to the Hüssenberg.
With the help of black magic, the gates of Valhalla shall be opened to form an
alliance with the Vikings and defeat the Allied Nations.
While the
German Resistance is hunting down soldiers of the Wehrmacht and SS, the US Army
is close to Kassel and involved in heavy fightings with the Waffen-SS. A small
unit of German Resistance fighters is following the track of an SS soldier
close the Hessian border and is finally lead to the Hüssenberg.

The main part of this movie is following these resistance
fighters, who had witnessed several acts of terror by the SS and are now driven
by the urge of retribution. When they arrive at the Hüssenberg, they find a
scene of horror. An SS field camp, empty at a first glance, turns out to be the
remains of a slaughterhouse: Severed body parts, decapitated heads and impaled
bodies are everywhere! In the camp, they find a book containing the old magic
spells used by Karl III as well as a letter to Heinrich Himmler written by
General Wollf. This letter states that Wollf had summoned the old Nordic gods
and thereby opened the gates to Valhalla.
Before realizing what had happened,the
group faces a thread from another world: ZOMBIE
VIKINGS! While trying to leave the scene of horror alive, the zombie
Vikings turn out not to be the only thread. The fallen soldiers of the SS also
rise from the ground.

The goal of this project is to create a
splatter zombie movie with an attention to detail: realistic uniforms, décor,
weapons, vehicles and locations. To ensure this, we are supported by Militaria Net
who already provided props for Inglorious Basterds, Dead Snow and Iron Sky. At
least as far our budget goes. The most important point is special effects. All
splatter effects are handmade and created without CGI (same goes for explosions
and bullet holes). Solely the muzzle flashes will be created with help of our
trusty computers. Check out our teaser trailer for a small example of that.

Compared to many foreign productions, our budget is quite small. Since
we can’t resort to film funds, we are forced to finance this project on our
own. During pre-production, we were able to accumulate a decent amount of money
but it’s still not enough to compensate all involved parties. We’re happy that
most of our staff is working only for their own amusement.
100%
of your funding will go the production, mainly in form of catering for our
actors and actresses.
