Short Summary

Hi, I'm Wyldon King Fishman, President and Founder of the New York Solar Energy Society, a 501C3 nonprofit. Since 2006, I've been traveling to schools statewide presenting successful alternative energy seminars explaining and demonstrating the benefits of solar, wind and other environmentally safe energies to children and teachers.

What I've found over these years is that no core curriculum for K-thru-12 grades exists for educating students and teachers about the physics of solar energy - no teachers out there really understand the basic physics fundamentals of solar so they are able to teach the science to all with ease and clarity. Kids are naturally curious and want to understand in a fun, easy-to-comprehend way what solar, wind and other alternative safe energies are all about. They are the future who will embrace and utilize these clean energies only if they completely understand how they work!

We need your support to fund a series of fun, colorful, simple short animated films to teach everyone from kindergarteners to college professors about the vital importance of how solar, wind and other alternative clean energies work, so we and our children can all live and thrive on a safer, cleaner, more energy-efficient, life-affirming planet. We hope our animated films will inspire the girls and boys of today to become the new solar power engineers of the future!

What We Need & What You Get

We are offering several solar-powered perks to all who contribute to our animation fund. You CAN make a difference! All contributions of any amount are most appreciated. Please help us achieve our goal. THANK YOU!

For $15,000 we can hire an experienced crew: producer, director, script writer, and animator. The greatest cost is the animation itself, each minute of a series of animated images is very expensive and time-consuming to animate.

While 15k does not represent the entirety of our project's budget, it is enough to begin and complete the first film's animation.

If we do not achieve our $15.000 goal, the funds collected by the campaign finish will go to NYSES continuing efforts to educate all about the benefits of solar and other alternative clean energies through our statewide community and school outreach seminars, while also upgrading and expanding our website.
