Each Tumbler additionally comes with a unique tracking bracelet that has an engraved identification number. Enter this identification number into our tracking system online (www.miir.com/impact), and you will be able to see what project you helped fund; complete with interactive maps, photos, and testimonials from the water project site.

THE IMPACT
There is a harsh reality that almost one billion people in the world live without access to clean, safe water. According to the World Health Organization, diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.

Here at MiiR, we resolved to create a sustainable business model to address these alarming statistics. We’ve committed to donate one dollar of every MiiR Tumbler you purchase, which provides one person with clean drinking water for an entire year.

Here’s how it breaks down: A typical clean water project costs between $2,500-5,000 and typically serves around 500 people for 10-20 years. An example is the well we built in the Dark Forest community in Buchanan, Liberia in the winter of 2011. The well project cost $2,500 and is now serving close to 1,000 people. WHAT WE NEED
With your help, we’ll get this great tumbler into production if we can cross $10,000. We will invest $1 of every MiiR Tumbler (5% of revenue direct, 10%+ of revenue at wholesale) purchased regardless of how much we raise.

When will my Tumbler be delivered?

We know you want to show off your Tumbler, so we are working hard to get them manufactured and ready to ship as soon as possible. We refuse to send you anything but the highest quality product!

What warranty is included with my MiiR Tumbler?
We have worked hard to ensure we produce the highest quality MiiR Tumbler possible. This includes the raw materials that go into the final product as well as the required craftsmanship required to create a durable, attractive and functional bottle. We offer a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. Normal wear and tear, including scratches and dings, are not covered under the MiiR warranty.

Is the Tumbler insulated?
Yes, the MiiR Tumbler is double-wall insulated, keeping your hot drinks hot and your cold drinks cold during the long commute.

Are the Tumblers available in retail stores?
Not yet, but hopefully soon! Check out MiiR bottles coming to your local Eddie Bauer this year.

How much of my MiiR Tumbler purchase will be donated to build water wells?
One dollar of each MiiR Tumbler you purchase provides one person with clean water for one year. The full $1 investment, all 100 pennies, will go directly to those in need. Clean water transforms lives, communities and generations -- and at a surprisingly low cost. Just $20 can provide clean water for one person for 20 years.

Where are the Tumblers manufactured?
We work with a family owned factory in China because they have been working with stainless steel for many years and can ensure quality handcrafted products that meet acceptable standards for quality, safety, fair labor, ethical business practices and environmental responsibility. We maintain a close relationship with our partners in China to ensure that all of the above standards are upheld. Our factories have passed SA8000 social audit tests, ISO 2001 & environmental standards of ISO 140000.

What is the Tumbler made of?
We started with robust, high quality 18/8 stainless steel for our Tumblers. It’s more expensive than aluminum, but is a far superior metal for drinking containers. It's safer, stronger, and doesn't absorb flavors. Your Tumbler is also BPA-free and contains no phthalates, lead or toxins. Independent labs test all products regularly; our mothers made sure. Lids are made of BPA-free polypropylene #5 plastic. And every Tumbler is 100% recyclable.

Are MiiR Tumblers dishwasher safe?
Yes. However, we recommend hand washing any of our colored bottles. With the exception of the natural stainless steel, our bottles feature a water-based paint followed by a clear protective coating, which can deteriorate when regularly exposed to high water temperatures. For best results, bathe your bottle with a long-handled bristle brush, soap and warm water.

Is there a charge for International Shipping?

Yes, there will need to be an additional charge to ship internationally. It costs $15 per tumbler to ship to international addresses.  If you buy a 4 tumbler set ($80 perk), international shipping is $25. For a 6-tumbler full-set ($120 perk, $150 perk, $2500 perk), international shipping is $40. For a 30-tumbler co branded set ($400 perk), international shipping is $80. Please include that in the checkout price.  If you forget, we'll contact you prior to shipping.
