What's Up?

Edmonton band The Wet Secrets have teamed up with the Chimo Youth Retreat Centre to establish a new initiative: The Chimo Arts & Music Programs & Studios (CH.A.M.P.S.) Fund. This fund will provide artistic mentorship and support for youth who would not otherwise have these opportunities. Money raised will be used to establish a bank of musical instruments and equipment that youth may borrow, to cover costs of music lessons, recording studio time, art supplies, workshops, and tickets to attend art and music events. Proceeds will also support the development of CH.A.M.P.S. Music Camps.

The Chimo Youth Retreat Centre was founded as a private, non-profit society in 1970 to reintegrate youth experiencing a range of challenges back into the community through a variety of supportive programs. It is their goal to provide an environment that fosters personal growth and are committed to ensuring quality services to every youth in their care.

What We Need & What You Get

Help us reach our goal of $5000 to jump start CH.A.M.P.S.

Donations at every level will make a difference. $5 buys a pack of guitar strings. $1000 buys an electronic drum kit for the musical instrument lending library. See the donation levels listed to the right. Along with our thanks, we'll send you advance digital downloads of new music, limited edition photo books and even a set of exclusive pillowcases!

    The Impact

Lyle and Emma from The Wet Secrets have been volunteering at the Chimo music night for the past two years and have seen first-hand the magic that happens when you put musical instruments in kids' hands and encourage them to find their voices and express themselves. The CH.A.M.P.S. Fund will give these youth better resources, a lending bank of instruments, mentorship, recording time, and more.
