Timeless Love Story

The Wildflower is a story about American Joseph, a young man who learns that his first love has passed away. He revisits his past as a teenage boy arriving in Norway with his father, to start a new life. In the rural small town of Kongsberg, he meets Lea, a girl who will change him forever. When they are separated by tragic events, their relationship fades. As a grown man, Joseph finds himself at a crossroads in life. After hearing of the Lea' death, all the things that seemed to matter so much, start to lose their value. He decides to revisit Norway to find answers and closure - he finds much more than that.

A teenage love story filled with pain, beauty and a promise that some things are worth waiting for. Some things are worth changing your life for.

Our film will touch on universal human struggles of love, regret and the courage to change your life. The Wildflower will challenge its viewers to look within themselves for answers.

We are a group of young filmmakers with an original story we think deserves to be told. We believe in our script, because it comes from a place of honesty and truth. Having been in love with the magic of films since childhood, we want to bring back what we used to love about movies - that Hollywood cannot deliver.

We have made short films for a decade and graduated from the USC film school. We have the means to make a completely unique film that will inspire its audience and take you by surprise. To do this we ask for your support.

What we will bring to the screen is a visually intriguing, emotionally engaging journey of two teenagers touched by tragedy and family issues, who gravitate towards each other amidst the chaos. They pull each other out of their personal grief and reach the surface as a unit that time and space can’t break. We want you to be a part of our endeavour!

We can make this film - with some help from YOU. Even though we will be making The Wildflower on a small yet realistic budget, there are many expenses that comes with making a movie. In the pre-production phase (before filming starts) we have to cover such expenses as insurance, locations & legal fees, transportation, art department rentals & purchases and more. We ask for your help to cover these expenses allowing us to make a GREAT movie.

Where are we at?

We have been working on this project for over a year. The script has gone through many phases and the final version is now being revised. After recently establishing our production company, A Scope Pictures, and having found our filming locations we are now making initial arrangements for filming in the U.S. and Norway. Our next step will be to begin the casting process to find the perfect actors!

Who are we?

Øivind Nass - WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER

Øivind Naess has written, directed and produced short films since the age of 13. Although having explored different genres he has been consistently focused on truthful stories about young people in search of their own identity and acceptance. 

Øivind has screened his short films in festivals in the U.S. and Norway. Aside from working and interning for various production companies Øivind has spearheaded several independent short film productions, one of which he has sold to Swedish Television.
