Let's Make The Future Electric
Future Electric is a race team that builds high performance electric motorcycles for the race track.
Our vision is to push EV technology to the point where it becomes superior to internal combustion engine technology – in all levels of motorcycle racing.
It is Future Electric’s main short term goal to enter the FIM eRoad Racing World Cup in 2014.
In not so many words... We wish to build the World's Fastest Electric Motorcycle.

Why We Need Your Money
Let's start with the truth...
Electric Race Bikes Don't Run On Gas, They Run On Cash!
The FIM eRoad Racing World Cup is, like MotoGP pushing the technical limits of the motorcycling sport. Technical innovation is the focus of the FIM eRoad Racing World Cup, and the bikes are literally rolling R&D platforms. This means that cost are relatively high.
The $60,000 USD we wish to raise from this campaign will pay for a high performance liquid cooled AC motor, and a state of the art Hub Centre Steering for one of the race bikes.

The Future Electric team is strong and consists of EV specialists and people with a background in
aviation design, carbon fiber technology, and
civil space industry.
And to finish off on the funny side, our EV specialist Klaus Nissen holds the Guinness World Record for the worlds fastest electric mobility scooter.

...:: WARNING - NERDY TECH STUFF ::...
Right now the technical innovation of electric motorcycles is evolving much faster than fossil fuelled motorcycle development. Internal combustion technology has reached a point where it is being challenged by the new EV technology that looks to gain a huge advantage in the years to come.
Today’s most advanced electric motors are already better than current Moto GP motorcycle’s engines in terms of torque delivery, physical size, engine-braking control, and reduced gyroscopic handling impact. The small size of electrical components in electric motorcycles also gives room for better overall motorcycle design, which translates directly into better motorcycle handling and feel.
The top speeds in the FIM eRoad Racing World Cup practically doubled from 100 km/h to well over 200 km/h over the last four years, idea prime example of the huge technical leaps this race series is taking.
