ABOUT THE FILM

“This One Last Time” is a contemporary Sci-fi drama set in a possible United States. Produced by Precise Panda Productions - a collective of independent Austin Filmmakers - The film tells the story of Milos and Cassandra, trapped in a dystopian world, trying desperately to escape. Milos was a dealer, trafficking in high risk contraband in a world were every action is watched and punishment for subversive activities is severe. Milos is clean now, having narrowly escaped arrest a year previous, but the struggle to survive legitimately - under the thumb of an oppressive government - may easily become more hopeless than a life of smuggling. Milos is faced with a decision: resign to subjugation and eke what meager life there is to be had legitimately, or break free, returning to the dangers of his old life style . This time the couple has a bigger motive than profit, the futures of both Cassandra and Milos rest in their decision.

“This One Last Time” is also story about love. About exploring the bond between Milos and Cassandra and finding out what each would do for the other when the situation calls and stakes are high. To what lengths would you go for a loved one?

WHERE WHEN AND WHY

Primary filming will take place in Austin, Texas and Bastrop State Park (just outside of Austin) at the beginning of December. We think of Austin as a cornucopia of young talented actors and proficient enthusiastic filmmakers. It’s a diverse community of artists that can come together and bolster each others creativity to make great work.

HOW WE NEED YOUR HELP

Transport - for crew and main cast

Food - We’ve all got to eat, help us stay alive as we film.

Rental of filming equipment

Props - We are making our own props to fill this world with detail.

Costuming -  Make the world of TOLT real.

All of these departments take considerable effort and creativity to sustain, and your possible financial support or the social support of sharing this project with your friends can help us through the production process to the end result - A polished final film that feels alive and lived in.

ISAIAH MANCHA – Writer/Director/Producer - is a twenty-five year old independent filmmaker from Austin, TX. Since childhood Isaiah has had a fascination with film and storytelling. In 2008 he moved to Austin to pursue his dreams of becoming a filmmaker and has since then studied at Austin Community College and worked along side many talented Austin based filmmakers. In March of 2012 he wrote the script for This One Last Time and has since been working on making this film a reality.

COLIN LEACH - Director of Photography/Producer - is a highly prolific writer, director, cinematographer and artist. Colin has been working with film and studying film academically since he was in high school, after which he attended Savannah College of Art and Design, majoring in Film studies. In 2003, he began cultivating professional experience on feature film productions - working with independent filmmakers, collectives, and industry professionals. His strong creative vision, his vast knowledge of photography and lighting, and his understanding of the structure of cinematic storytelling supply him with the talents and ability to create the world of This One Last Time.

MATTIAS MARASIGAN – Casting Director/Assist Director/Producer/Editor/Actor - Mattias Marasigan  co-founder of Precise Panda Productions is currently living the cliché life as a server/actor in Austin, TX. The main difference is that he works at the number one movie theatre in America, The Alamo Drafthouse. It's safe to say he got his passion for acting because of his love for movies. He's acted in a handful of student/short films and theatre productions.  Mattias is constantly honing his skill as an actor and editor, working on any project he can get his hand on, from student shorts, web and Television series to best friends passion projects. Because of this he has amassed a great knowledge of film production all across the board, bringing the needed preparation and skill to guide this project from start to finish.

FREDARICO “KIKO” LOPEZ – Head PA/Writer/Actor/Comedian – Also co-founder of Precise Panda Productions, Kiko caught the entertainer bug early on in his life. He was in any extra curricular arts activity that was available. He started acting in high school and has been ever since. After high school Kiko moved to New York City to pursue his acting career, but stumbled upon his forte, stand up comedy. There he also attended fashions school. After graduating he returned to Austin and his started downward spiral of odd. “I really felt the moment I hit rock bottom was being a waiter and my E True Hollywood Story could begin, but my dad said ‘rock bottom was fashion school’.  So here I am, starting over, no longer that 18 year old green horn, but a 31 year old with the soul of a kid, the drive of a twenty something, and the wisdom of that idiot who went through all of it.”

OUR GOAL FOR THE FILM

This is the first film we've made of this magnitude, coming together with other talented artists to produce a fantastic piece of art. This is our chance to finally make a collective dream come true. Once the film is completed we intend to submit the film to local Austin film festivals, AFF, Cine Las Americas, SXSW, and Fantastic Fest. After  an initial round of submissions, we plan to expand to national film festivals, like Slamdance, and New York Film Festival. And then after that we intend - if we get a positive response - to go International. Our ambitions for the film aside, we agree the film is the article itself. We know the process of making even a short film is intense and rewarding, and we also hope to forge new and worthwhile relationships with everyone involved, building the foundation for future projects, so we are anxiously awaiting all the unknown rewards and input that full-blown production will bring.

ABOUT INDIEGOGO

Indiegogo is a crowd funding platform for creative projects — everything from traditional forms of art (like theater to contemporary forms like design). A project has a clear goal, like making an album, a book, or a work of art in this case it will be an independent short film. When Donors pledge specified amounts they don't actually pay until the goal is reached and the funding deadline has passed. Fortunately even if we do not meet our goal, the film will get funded, but don’t let that fool you everything helps! When we meet our goal we will begin shooting the film and hopefully use some of the money raised to pay for Film Festivals around the U.S.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We need a bit more money to keep this production going, help us make the film we want to make. For an independent filmmaker finding funding for a film can be hard and sometimes keep a film from being made. By pledging you can help send us on our way to fulfilling our dreams and help bring this story to life.
