Three Days
Falling in love is easy.
It's trying not to fall in love that's hard.
Sophie (Vanessa Bailey)
James (Richard Perryman)
Romance, humour, passion, gloriously awkward moments, emotional conflict and carrot cake abound in this very British observation of unexpected attraction.
James and Sophie are the proverbial chalk and cheese.
Sophie is an intelligent, forty-something woman with her head buried in classic literature and absolutely no room in her life for romantic distractions.
James is an irresponsible, twenty-something charmer with no intention of letting anyone rule his heart and every intention of living life to the full.
Fate has decided to bring them together. Whether they like it or not.
In one chance meeting their paths cross. James and Sophie suddenly find themselves trying to make sense of the feelings that begin to stir in both of them.
Seductive jazz clubs, the romance of London at night and terrible relationship advice from self-proclaimed love guru Barbara all threaten to lead their hearts in a direction that neither of them is prepared for.

Suzie started out as a production assistant for corporate film and live events and has a natural affinity to film-related PR. She has previously worked on the award-winning short film BUBBLES by Leyla Pope.
Writers - Vanessa Bailey & Richard Perryman
Vanessa has always written incredibly long texts and so writing a film script seemed the obvious next step forward. Richard continually writes, devises and directs through his critically-acclaimed theatre company Antler Theatre. He still can't remember why (or even when) he agreed to co-write with Vanessa.
Vanessa and Richard are natural writers and have also combined their skills as actors to develop much of the dialogue through improv. They have an inconveniently similar writing style which means they often get confused and somewhat territorial about which bits of the script were written by whom. They overcome this slight professional hiccup by eating copious amounts of chocolate when in the same room together for extended periods of time.

Why are we working so hard to get this film made?!
Three Days is a passion project in every sense of the word!
The story of Three Days is a very British celebration of love, romance, passion, humour and those life-defining moments that someone, somewhere decides to throw in your path when you least expect them.
It's an intelligent, engaging, touching, feel-good film that explores the age-old theme of love. When it doesn't work out quite as you expected.
Our team is not only highly-skilled in their various areas of expertise but we are an incredibly close-knit unit with a strong chemistry and relentless drive. It's what has helped us reach this stage in production, having started out with zero budget.
Our previous Indiegogo crowdfund raised the money we needed to make the teaser trailers. We've used these as a way to showcase what the team can achieve in one day (yes, all of them were shot in one day) on a very tight budget. To say we're keen to show people what we could come up with in five days is an understatement.
We now need to raise £5K to cover the running costs of a five-day shoot. We'll be shooting three days in London and two days in Cardiff.
As well as the scenes in James' and Sophie's flat and the cafe, filming will be taking place in some additional beautiful and iconic locations including a pivotal scene in a jazz club (we're VERY excited about that one), an evocative night shoot on the streets of London and a scene in a Library.
This will cover all the usual costs of a film shoot - the main ones being catering, travel within London, insurance and hire of equipment. We also want to be able to purchase some wardrobe for our actors and specific items needed to dress some of our interior shoots.
We are a highly professional team and we do not waste money. Nor do we take it for granted. Every penny donated will be treated with the respect and gratitude it deserves and utilised to produce the very best short film we can possibly make.
And one that our backers can be supremely proud to be part of.
