About the Freaky Tiki

The Freaky Tiki has driven hundreds of passengers and hosted dozens of deep playa dance parties.  Let's bring it up for its 6th burn :)

About Us

We're a group of passionate burners who want to bring the Freaky Tiki back to the Playa.  The Freaky Tiki is currently in storage up in Nevada and the current owners are retiring from Burning Man.  We've decided to purchase the Freaky Tiki and continue to carry the Tiki Torch onto the Playa so all can enjoy.  We're raising funds so we can make this a reality.  

Where is the money going? 

With time running out until the burn, we are trying to raise at least $2,000 but really need $5,000.  Here are where the funds will go:

• Purchase of the Freaky Tiki ($3500)
• Storage after BM until 2014 ($500)
• Transportation and Maintenance ($1000)
• Labor (Free)
• Permits (Included)

What You Get

Our group will be camping in the French Quarter in the main plaza at 3'oclock with the Santopalato camp. We will be taking the Freaky Tiki out a few times a day and all are welcome to jump on and get a ride and get freaky.  You'll notice we have a mix of awards and suggested donation levels.  Ideally we want to push all the money raised into the Tiki Car but understand you may want something of value and will do our best to provide that for you if you so choose :)

The Impact

Initally our group wanted to create our own art car but when the opportunity to bring the Freaky Tiki up to the Playa this year, we jumped on it.  We believe in "carrying the torch" and will do our best to continue to make the Freaky Tiki available for all to enjoy.
