My name is Robyn Rosenberger and I have been blessed with the incredible opportunity to run TinySuperheroes!
In the summer of 2012 I dusted off my sewing machine and made a superhero cape for my nephew's second birthday. I then made one for my son but quickly realized there were other kids out there who actually WERE TinySuperheroes! I had been following the blog of a special girl named Brenna who was born with a very rare and severe skin disease. While I thought my son looked really cute in his cape, it became clear that Brenna NEEDED a cape!
After empowering Super Brenna with her cape in January 2013, we featured her story on our blog to help raise awareness, and we were immediately met by dozens of other Extraordinary kids, each with their own remarkable story!
Quickly, the dozens have turned into hundreds and in four months we have empowered over 500 TinySuperheroes in 35 states and 5 countries! We continue to share their stories on our blog to help raise awareness for each of them.
It has become apparent that we have merely discovered the iceberg of TinySuperheroes that live among us, and it is our mission to empower each of them. Afterall, all TinySuperheroes need capes!
Why We're Here
To put it simply - we need your help!
With this funding, we will be able to empower 1,500 TinySuperheroes in the next 12 months...and we're pretty sure that will just be the beginning! These funds will help us buy fabric, sew, personalize, and ship each cape. It will also enable us to write & share their stories so that the world knows how Extraordinary they are!
We have some fun TinySuperheroes gear that you can use to show your support for these Extraordinary kids! So, when you pledge, we'll send you some fun perks! We have Bracelets, Tote bags, T-Shirts...your donation can even personally empower TinySuperheroes!
The Impact
These capes are more than fabric. Sending TinySuperhero capes to children who are fighting illness and disability can actually change their life! First and foremost we think it is critically important that these kids and their families know that we know how Extraordinary they really are. Then, by sharing their story, we can help raise awareness. Raising awareness brings funding, funding leads to more research, and research brings cures for these incredible kids.
