Start a marketing campaign to get CV Skinlabs into cancer centers nationwide, where sensitive skin conditions are common, and people deserve relief.  

• Educate patients about what products to use in their daily lives and which to avoid—through presentations, lectures, online information sources, and Britta’s book, When Cancer Hits.
• Extend our educational outreach to create more awareness about the damage chemicals can do in our bodies, our lives, and our world.
• Expand the brand across the nation to these centers and eventually, globally.

Have you ever lost someone who was extremely important to you? 

If so, you know what a hole it leaves in your heart—and how strong is the drive to honor that person’s life in a meaningful and lasting way. 

That’s how makeup artist and natural beauty expert, Britta Aragon, felt when she lost her father in 2007 after his eight-year battle with cancer. A survivor herself, she had Hodgkin’s lymphoma when she was only 16 years old, but after undergoing chemo treatments, she emerged cancer-free.

Her father would not be so lucky. The courage and fortitude he showed battling five recurrences, however, inspired many around him, most of all, his daughter. When he was gone, Britta wanted more than anything to find a way to honor his spirit.

One of the main issues both Britta and her father suffered while going through cancer treatments was super sensitive, fragile skin. Britta’s father, especially, endured burning, inflamed, and rash-like symptoms that wouldn’t respond to conventional skincare products.

Even when Britta used her makeup artist expertise to buy him a high-end cream—supposedly for sensitive skin—it ended up burning and irritating his skin even further. She researched the ingredients and was shocked to find irritating synthetics linked to cancer and hormone disruption!

She immediately set about finding a better alternative. That turned out to be a treasured piece of a neighbor’s aloe plant. Unlike the expensive cream, this simple plant soothed and cooled her father’s skin immediately. Britta knew she was on to something.

“When my father passed away,” Britta said, “I wanted to help others like him who, for whatever reason, couldn’t tolerate the average, chemical-laden products on the market today. I also realized, through my research, that the high levels of chemicals in our products and in the environment were having an adverse effect on our health, so it became extremely important to me that whatever I did would help lessen that toxic load.”

To that end, Britta, did two things:

1. founded the Cinco Vidas blog—“cinco vidas” means “five lives” in Spanish, in honor of the five times her father renewed his commitment to life.
   
2. She wrote When Cancer Hits, the guide she wished she had when she was caring for her father.
