Short Summary
Hi ! I'm a musician, photographer and visual artist from Montreal. I've been creating music under the Muhr alias for 10 years now and have been releasing portrait photography for the last 4.
Since last fall, i've been building my idea for a digital label that would reunite these two passions as well as my love for bringing artists and people together. (I have operated a netlabel called Camomille Music from 2001 to 2013, releasing over 100 releases and getting over 40 000 visitors per year)
I feel like Trembl is the culmination of 10 years of hard work, sweat and determination fueld on beans, butter pasta and gattuso noodles. After 18 weeks of it being online, it's garnering attention for its originality and getting good reviews.

What is Trembl?
Trembl is a digital music and art label from Montreal.
Every Tuesday, we release a new single or ep of brand new, exclusive music from artists the world over. You can stream it for free or buy the digital album on our Bandcamp. These releases are seperated between different Catalogues like Textures or Beats (more to come soon!).
But that’s just half of Trembl. Every Tuesday, with every music album, we also release accompanying portrait photographs. You can view a sample of 8 pictures from every set we put out. To view the remainder of them, we’ve made it so that if you buy a full music album on bandcamp, you get a .pdf filled with exclusive high resolution photographs.
Here’s a sample of what that might look like (this one is low resolution though).
It’s noteworthy to mention that the photography on Trembl is of the sensuous nature, and while we promote artfullness and restraint in our photographers’ work (no porn here), you need to be 18 years or older to browse our site.
Mission
It's important to note that we have a specific mission in mind. It is my firm intention to release music that is soulful and different, deep and original. To be able to release music from well-known musicians as well as bedroom musicians that are on the rise.
As for the photography, we approach the style and tone of the photographs and modelwork just as with the musicians; be real and authentic while exploring dark, mysterious, epic and emotional situations, styles and ideas. We are against using women as objects, we want to portray them as fully realized muses and works of art. We are against photoshopping bodies(and removing imperfections) and the women on Trembl are girls you might see in the subway.
What We Need & What You Get
As i make Trembl my main source of income and work, there are a couple of things i need to be able to grow and expand.
- This money will go mainly towards two things 1) a lease (shared office, 200 to 400 per month) for a Trembl headquarters where i'll be able to shoot models and meet with artists and business clients. 2) Buying plublicity and ads and printing flyers and assorted merchandise (t-shirts, prints) to get the name out there and
- We have special perks lined up for this! Our top perk is free releases ( music and pdfs and other projects we have lined up) forever! As long as we exist ( and we plan to for a lon while). We'll also have autographed prints, t-shirts and other goodies!
- Even if the goal isn't reached, it will great help with getting some money towards the lease and buying publicity around the web.
The Impact
First off, we built Trembl to be a transparent company where everyone is paid equally. The artist, the photographer, the model and trembl each take an equal amount of the pie. In the record industry, there's a lot of money put into releases and it's a hard and tedious road for artists to get paid. Even in most digital labels, they only pay you after the 500th buy. At Trembl, we pay as soon as the first track is bought.
We believe artists, models and photographers should at least be able to buy some food with the hard work they put into their art.
I believe that the project is original enough to be able to make it's own niche in the market of entertainment. I've already been featured in a prominent, local, cultural news site here -> (in french) http://voir.ca/chroniques/solo-de-clavier/2014/01/21/trembl-musique-et-petites-tenues/ where they talk about the novelty of the project.
The models
Being a model is hard work and more often than not, it's being in uncomfortable circumstances that are sometimes maybe even dangerous. We promote a healthy work relationship as well as ideals that value a women's integrity, character and depth.
