All photobooks and postcards were printed last week. Now shipping from Ukraine is impossible, but we think that few days later situation will changed.
Short
summary
There left a few days to finish of the campaign and likely I will not reach my entire goal. That’s why less copies will be printed. All funders will receive their books and postcards by the end of February 2014. Thank You all for your contributions.
About Revolution
Peaceful protests in Ukraine started on Nov. 21 when government backed away from a political agreement with the European Union. Protests against the government’s decision were held in several Ukrainian cities. After a violent crackdown by security forces on peaceful rally in Independence Square, the central plaza in Kiev, on Nov. 30 hundreds of thousands ukrainians joined a rally and occupied Independence Square, setting up barricades and established a tent city. Now people demand impeachment of the president and dismissal of the government.
On Dec. 11 security forces again stormed Independence Square, but the demonstrators faced down armored officers. Now peaceful revolution in Ukraine continued for 4th week and the demonstrators ready to protest as long as necessary.
About Project
I am Maria Donenko, a Kiev based photographer. From the beginning of the Revolution I spent 24 days in Independence Square and took more than 4000 photos. I like to accomplish the photography book "Ukraine: Revolutionary Chronicle" and need your help.
I hope to raise 7000$ by crowdfunding for excellent color correction, professional printing and binding of 100 copies. Anything raised over this amount will go into expanding the edition. If I don't reach my entire goal, less copies will be printed.
The book and postcards will be shipped by the end of February 2014. Shipping is included world wide.
Other Ways You Can Help
If You can't contribute "Ukraine: Revolutionary Chronicle", that doesn't mean you still can't help. It would be just as helpful to share this project with friends or family. You can share this project through Facebook, Twitter, emails and phone calls.
