Upsidedown Cross stars Erin Russ (Porkchop, ‘Devil Sister’) as Nadine, the drug-addled victim of religious mania, and David Yow, lead singer of acclaimed alt rock
band Jesus Lizard, as her tormented would-be redeemer. Additional cast includes Colleen Cohan (Mr. Hush, Green Monster), Tina Krause (Erotic Vampire in Paris, Bad Biology), Victor Bonacore (Chainsaw Kiss and Hunters), Charles Moran (Singer of Love Cinema Vol.6 and Dead Go West), Mark DeMicco (Cut), and adult film star legend, Rick Savage!
Special FX will be realized by Johnny Dickie (Slaughter Tales).

Synopsis
Abandoned, abused by the police and in the throes of withdrawal, Nadine, a drug addicted young prostitute, returns to her childhood home and the mother she ran away from. Nadine’s mother, Delilah; a fanatical Christian who believes demons have possessed her daughter, searches for a “cure” for Nadine’s erratic behavior.
When she finds a rogue preacher willing to exorcise her daughter for a fee, neither realizes they have invited the devil into their home. While her mother turns a blind eye to the bizarre practices unfolding in her own home, Nadine, wracked with mental and physical pain, has no choice but to put up with the preacher’s increasingly violent charade.

William Hellfire
Founder of subversive cinema menagerie Factory 2000, director William Hellfire has over 30 feature film credits to his name, primarily in the exploitation, horror and cult genres. Notable titles include Duck! The Carbine High Massacre, An Erotic Werewolf in London and The Devil’s Bloody Playthings.
David Yow and The Jesus Lizard
The Jesus Lizard is an American alternative rock band formed in 1987 by vocalist David Yow, bassist David Wm. Sims and guitarist Duane Denison. The band released a Split single with Nirvana, multiple LP’s on Touch and Go records recorded by legendary producer Steve Albini, and went on to release two records on Capital. JL had their music video ‘NUB’ pulled from MTV because it contained footage of real cadavers being washed for autopsy, and their music video ‘Glamorous’ was featured on Beavis and Butthead.
David Yow is also the singer of Scratch Acid, Qui and appeared on the
first Pigface LP alongside industrial noise greats like, Trent Reznor (NIN), Al
Jourgensen (Ministry) and Ogre (Skinny Puppy). David recently released a super spooky horror oriented noise LP called “Tonight You Look Like A Spider”.
Mike Hunchback
Mike Hunchback, who will also associate produce the picture, is known for his work
with the NJ punk band HUNCHBACK (a WFMU favorite), and has since founded the
WEIRD FANTASY BAND and MISERY DATE. Mike was also member of NIGHT BIRDS, and all of these groups having a focused, even obsessive inclusion of film and Horror Culture in their content. He also currently plays guitar for legendary
punk rock band SCREECHING WEASEL.
Mike has for years been deeply rooted in the indie horror world through his critical
writing, and has appeared in the films and videos of Victor Bonacore and
recently created a music video for his band MISERY DATE with director Johnny
Dickie! He also spends a fair amount of time organizing screenings and series
for horror and exploitation films in NYC as well as co-owning a killer record
store in Brooklyn called CO-OP 87 RECORDS.

This is the most inspired script I have ever written and the film will be ‘a love letter’ to the house that my old film company
Factory 2000 shot most of its films in. My sisters and I are selling the old place and I really wanted to squeeze in one more feature before it’s out of my hands. This is the house my dad literally built, back in 1967 and this is a way I can immortalize it (and my mother’s crazy PINK carpet).
I have produced and directed over 30 features since 1996 but I have not made a feature since 2004, so I am asking for your help to get back into the swing! With your participation and many of my talented and supportive actors, artists, crew and friends, I will be able to realize “UPSIDOWN CROSS” this September!
