Last year, Vanity creator Patrick, came up with an idea to blend Hannibal with Dorian Gray in order to make a sinister and unconventional horror film. 

Vanity is a film starring Patrick O'Brien. It is a story bathed in blood. Being filmed in Manchester England.

Synopsis 

Vanity is a story bathed in blood. The film is only one chapter in the life of a young, rich, enigmatic man called Julius Crowley. and follows the story of a young woman, Elizabeth, and her contact with him. Julius has invited her to dinner at his manor house after only meeting the day before. But the night takes a very unexpected twist.

Maxwell Jones (Producer) - Max is a dedicated part of our team and has had years of working in TV behind the scenes. Including - Top Gear, X Factor, The Royal Bodyguard ,Born to Shine, Red or Black ,So You Think ,You Can Dance ,Epic Win, Songs of Praise. 

He also worked as a Location assistant on shows such as - Nurse to Be, Storage Hoarders, The Railway, Country House Sunday, Tropical Diseases Uncovered.

Everyone involved with the Vanity project is 100% committed and will stop at nothing to get the film made for the big screen.

At this moment in time we have some well known actors on board and will be announcing them soon. We think you will be very pleased with there involvement.

Why should you invest in Vanity???

British horror films, most of the time, fail to deliver, and we're fed up with vampire and zombie films just being made with the same story lines all the time. I mean, whats with all the sexy vampire shows at the moment? Give me Christopher Lee over Robert Pattinson any day.

By investing and supporting this film, firstly, you will be helping independent cinema, and secondly would be helping to make an original and thrilling horror film which will contain our more novel and creative ideas. Not just a studio film that has been made a thousand times before.

All the money we raise (6k) will be used to make this film as a unique and sinister piece of cinema. We are shooting the film on a red cam (you know how expensive that can be) but we are filming for the big screen, so therefore a bigger budget is needed. We don't want to have to rush to get shots finished and a decent shooting time is necessary. In addition, we need funds for our FX, we are going to keep it old school and stay away from CGI in order to bring back that feeling and appearance of  old school horror. In our opinion we feel that old blood FX's look so much more effective than modern day post production blood, and gives more realism. We want to use funds to employ a professional FX company, in order to make the film as gloriously gory and  bloody as possible, while retaining realism. The majority of the filming will take place at night (which can be difficult and costly).  We have having an original score being composed for Vanity which we believe will give the film its own unique presence.

Because of the limited locations and a small cast we believe we can achieve this within this budget.
