This summer we shot 'Verification', with an amazing cast and crew. At the pre-production stage we made the choice to use all of our resources to make the production the best it could be. But now we need your help to take this film through post-production and into festivals.
The Story
Damir loves this country of freedom and limitless opportunities. He really wants to live here and to do that, he can even break the law. No, no, nothing serious - just a fake marriage. The problem is, that there are lots of people like him, and this country tries to protect itself from them - it verifies them. This Verification must be unexpected, strict, and people who do it must be competent and relentless.
This is how it should be, but very often life doesn’t fit the rules, invented by a human, it might surprise you...
What we need.
Our edit is locked and we are only a few steps away from the final film. The money we will receive will be spent on the following.
1. Sound mixing. Sound is very important, if the film sounds bad it's the first thing, that distracts you. We really-really want our movie to sound awesome.
2. Music. We will be using two songs in our movie, written and performed by talented artists and we believe strongly that artists deserve to be composted for their work.
3. Color correction. We getting a great deal from a Color Correcting studio in Moscow, our film was shot on new Blackmagic Cinema Camera in RAW, so the quality is there. but it will need a lot of attention to make it work.
4. Films like ours come into life at festivals, and we will be sending it out to a range of short film festivals backed with all of the hard work and love we have put into this project, as long as we can afford the submission fees!
5. Along with our own team and internal resources we are going to commission marketing specialists to help promote the film during it’s festival run to get it the exposure it deserves.

The Impact
A lot of people face problems of self identification. In a lot of cases people have to run from their own countries for a better life, a free life. We tried to imagine what can happen, when our hopes, dreams and expectation face reality. Are we really as free as we think? Do we matter? Are we part of the system or we are an outsider? This film does not attempt to propose a solution but hopefully will help us all examine the situation better.
