WHO WE ARE:
My name is Vic David, and I am an award-winning director for my investigative special “Voices in the Tunnels, In Search of the Mole People.” Vermin Supreme is a notorious prankster and an actual presidential candidate.
Vote Jesus, The Chronicles of Ken Stevenson is meant to entertain, but also to shed light on a more serious issue. My film explores right wing political and religious extremism and the detrimental impact such teachings may have on our nation's future voters, the children.
In the midst of increasingly reactionary political extremist opposition, people must be aware of this well organized movement of anger and fear. This movement leaves no room for sexual or religious freedom.
Consider the danger of breaking the barrier between government and Christian fundamentalism. The previous administration took many steps in that direction. Imagine how many voices would be left out. Imagine if that had happened in last election… or the next one.
WHAT WE NEED AND WHAT YOU GET:
This film is in its final stage of post-production. After 4 years of principal photography and over a year of post the film is almost ready for release.
My team and I need your support to raise $30,000 to finish the project and release it.

OUR FUNDING SITUATION:
When we started this project we had a solid interest from a major documentary theatrical distributor. Hoping to release it theatrically, I invested over $200,000 of my own money in pre-production, principal photography and post. Then, during the financial collapse, in 2009 our distributor went belly up. I do not have the funds to continue investing in this project.
Recently, Vermin started screening various rough cuts to small audiences across the nation. It seemed, the film successfully found its niche.
Many of those, who saw Vote Jesus suggested we release the film in a public domain. While we do have serious distribution offers, my goal is for this film to be seen by as wide an audience as possible.
After serious consideration, we have decided to release VOTE JESUS, the Chronicles of Ken Stevenson in public domain if we are able to recoup at least 50% of what has been invested. That’s right! If, as a result of this crowd funding effort, we are able to gather at least $100,000, then the film will be released in public domain. It would only take 1000 contributors with $100 donations will get this film to be seen by everyone.
VOTE JESUS, THE CHRONICLES OF KEN STEVENSON is a film that hopes to inspire rational-minded people to become politically active beyond the high stakes of a presidential election.
