VAGABOND ALLEY PRODUCTIONS NEEDS YOU!
In 2013, Vagabond Alley Productions reignited and aims to step it up a notch by partnering with Clayton Weller of Pocket Theater a new concept in independent stage production in Seattle where producers only pay a cut of ticket sales for use of the space.
In JUNE 2014 Vagabond Alley Productions intends to mount
the one act play,"Love in the Time of Zombies," by Damian Trasler.
This "ZomCom" (Definition: a romantic comedy set against a zombie apocalypse backdrop) is an intimately character driven script, uses a low production value, and will embrace a non-traditional rehearsal process where the actors scene study in preparation for working with the director.
Our Modified Process Makes a Unique+Quality Result that Benefits Audiences, Artists and their Concerns.

History ![]()
VAP was established in 2002 by Artistic Director/Executive Producer, D'Arcy Harrison. Its inaugural production,"Oleanna," by David Mamet starred D'Arcy Harrison and David Glowacki and staged in a Seattle Sodo loft. This show utilized a long form rehearsal process that utilized a directors panel after 4-5 months of private scene study. This script's incarnation garnered a Seattle Times Footlight Award for one of the Best of Fringe 2002 upon review by John Hartl on special from the New York Times.
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR CONTRIBUTION?
-
Expenses of the Show= marketing materials, rehearsal space, props, minimal/functional and easily transportable set pieces, etc. The space is paid for after we sell 20 tickets and VAP will fill the house with friends, family, clients, colleagues,..and strangers with its individual flair for multi-pronged word of mouth and PR. Rights for the play are a % of gross ticket receipts which means our maximum expense of rights will be around $250-300. All other line items listed here will not exceed a $1100 cap.
-
Paying the Peoples!= VAP aims to be an organized, professional fringe theatrical company and believes contributors deserve some compensation for their creative energy and sacrifices. So Production Staff and Actors will be paid.
-
Giving Back= 10% of the proceeds (after fees) of this indiegogo campaign goes to Shunpike Arts Collective, an organization that supports Seattle's arts entrepeneurs in building their creative business organizations.
