Short Summary
Wasteland is a feature film set in a world ravaged by a deadly virus, telling the tale of Scott Miller, a young man trying to survive while he waits for the return of his beloved Beth. The film has received a lot of international attention, and the aim is now to get it through post-production ready for Cannes 2013 and it's looming sale/distribution.
What We Need & What You Get
We are always focused on ensuring any money spent on a film is seen on screen. Our budgets are tight, our project management is thorough and of a very high standard.
A lot of special effects are required for the film to increase the professional look and feel of the film. Equally, a film is meaningless if noone gets to watch it. The funds will be used for special effects along with post-production marketing of the film to ensure it reaches it's target audience and gets the recognition it deserves.
We have a lot of things to give away for donations of any amount... From a shout out to our social media audience of over 10,000 to being able to hire our highly regarded film crew to coach, train and support a filmmaker - an opportunity to learn so much more than text books or educational courses can provide.
If the fund goal isn't reached, the money will still go towards the special effects and marketing, but of course it will not be as effective.
The Impact
We have been developing and showcasing unsigned talent for many years; gaining agents and big film projects to those involved. We are proud to have inspired local filmmakers to produce films, and have been instrumental in the bringing together of film talent throughout the country. The funds will further insure Wasteland's success, thus encouraging further film projects to be produced and encourage the UK creative economy to continue moving in a positive motion.
The future of the creative industries is of paramount importance to us. It gives creative professionals motivation, inspiration and hope that there is a future for the UK Filmmaking industry.
