No more need for screws or nails as wooll-e is a unique ready to hang lamp.

The wooll-e is a lamp that doesn’t require any tools. Only a power outlet and blank wall space.

Dutch-designed to be quick-‘n- easy. No more drilling holes in your walls. Simply stick the wooll-e discs on your wall and the wooll-e FIX will do the rest!

The wooll-e® is designed as a fun product, that encourages you to be creative.

Change the appearance of your wooll-e lamp by just slipping the specially designed wooll-e sleeve over the lampshade. You can even turn the extra electric cord into a cool feature by arranging it with the wooll-e clip, that fastens in three positions.

Each Dutch-designed wooll-e lamps is handmade in the Netherlands with high quality materials, sourced locally where possible. Created with input from experts and people around the world, the wooll-e is an artful and practical lamp at an affordable price.

We want to wooll-e the world

We chose conciously for the crowdfunding indiegogo platform to launch the wooll-e, as we know indiegogo by heart contributing to projects we liked to help people's dreams come true.

We reached a national and international crowd and built a wooll-e community from whoms feedback we'll learn and who helped us take wooll-e into production.

Sleeves

6 exciting colour combinations you can choose from.

It’s easy to change the appearance of your wooll-e lamp. We have designed a felt sleeve, handmade of 100% wool in the Netherlands. You simply slip the sleeve over the lampshade. It contrasts nicely with the lampshade and gives you the freedom to create your own look. Just position the sleeve to suit you. On the top, middle or bottom of the lampshade.

Lampshades

The lampshades we use are handmade to our specifications in the Netherlands. Double-layered to give the lampshade the firmness we like. On the outside we use off-white textile and silverish-grey on the inside for that little extra reflection. So even without the sleeve the lampshade can be a shining light on your wall.

FIX

The FIX is a superior magnet sunken into a holder made of nylon granule. The design of the magnet holder gives you a good grip and protects the surface from damage.

Inside and outside

the iFIX (i = in) is a loose holder to be placed on the inside of the wooll-e lamp-shade, hardly visable and is flexibile to position.

the oFIX (o = out) is a holder to attach on the outside of the wooll-e lamp-shade, visable and quick-‘n-easy for moving it from spot to spot. Both holders are produced exclusively to order.

Electric cord

The wooll-e is provided with 3 meters of electric cord in 4 different colours. A shiny anthracite as base colour to match every wooll-e and 3 vibrant colours to make exciting combinations:luscious green, ice blue and signal orange.

Clip

The clip is designed to organise your electric cord. It can fasten in three positions. Each clip is made in the Netherlands with a 3-D printer using nylon granules. When the printing process is finished, it is polished. This gives the clip a unique look and feel.

Be a good scout

Since your wooll-e comes with 3 meters of electric cord and your power outlet might be within 2 meters, instead of hiding the extra electric cord you can turn it into a cool feature. This way it becomes an integral part of the lamp. We already made some suggestions for you, but be a good scout and invent new ones!

The wooll-e concept was succesfully presented from 18th – 20th October 2013 during the ‘Eigen Huis (Ver)Bouwen + Inrichten’ fair in the Utrechtse Jaarbeurs in the Netherlands.

wooll-e® by readymate

It was on a late summer day in 2012, over lunch in our favourite coffee bar, that we found our inspiration for the wooll-e concept.

The wooll-e team members are architects Geert Aarssen and Henk ten Kate and conceptor/artist Anne-Marie Ros, all based in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Our designstudio is located in the Schieblock in Rotterdam (NL) and we are only available by appointment if you like to meet us. Just e-mail us and we’ll get in touch with you.
