What is a "Virtual 5K?"
Help fund and participate in the first annual Woolly Trot 5k!
What is the Woolly Trot 5K you ask?! Its the first Virtual
5K geared towards Knitters, Crocheters, Spinners, and any other
"woolly" loving hobbyist who wants to participate in a 5K! A 5K is
3.1 miles, and this one is for all kinds... Walkers, Runners, Joggers, and
Trotters alike!
One great aspect about a "Virtual 5K" is that you don't have to get up at
6am and drive you a location to run on a crowded street (Don't get me wrong
that's fun and all too) but - this you do on your own time, when its easy for
you! Best of all, its not limited to a location, so Fiber lovers from all over the
world can join in.

How event will work..
You have a week to do your "race" and submit your
time. Race will start on May 24, 2015, though May 30th 2015 to
submit your time via photo of GPS enabled app screenshot, or photo of GPS watch
time if you have one, no GPS? That's okay too, photos of treadmill times are
welcome as well!
Why join?
This is a great way to feel apart of something healthy, fun,
active, and best of all with fiber friends. You can race your friends to see
who has the best time, or just use it as a great motivator to get up and active
(and of course get some cool swag!)
Funds!
Funds will clearly go to getting your perks in your hands. Getting the swag and shipping it out!
The other largest part of the funding thing is artwork, I would love to get a custom logo that
we can use every year to show to the world. This is a large portion of the
funding needed. Sponsors will make the single biggest difference in
making this part happen.
Any extra funds raised will go to getting a website setup for
this year and all future years of the event! If there is more $ extra due to large number of participants then extra swag items will be considered.

T-shirts will be Hanes Brand Performance T-shirts. Yes they are bit more $ but a proper shirt for exercise does make a difference. You will be able to pick your color t-shirt when I send out for sizes. There will be 6 Colors to select from!

Risks and challenges
Risks include not getting enough folks to participate. I am hoping
for 50 people. but it would be amazing to have more! I decided to do the campaign as I had gotten good feedback,
but didn't want to be on the hook for inventory that people may or may not
wanting.
