Short Summary

From June 29-July 10, 2013 the inaugural World Art Games will be staged in 4 cities in Croatia, starting in the capitol of Zagreb. As the president of the National Committee of Canada, I am leading a diligent committee and team of artists who are doing all that we can to secure public/gov't funding for this event. However, we are also doing our own fundraising and wanting to give the general public an opportunity to support us as well.

For Centuries athelitics and Athletes have enjoyed the world Olympics of competitionand collaboration; and the time has come for artist to have the same challenges and privileges!

What We Need & What You Get

Our overall budget is $84, 050. which includes the cost of Travel, Accomodations, Exhibitor Expenses and Miscellaneous costs. The $8,550. we are seeking to raise herein will cover our Artist Fees and Food (wich is not included entirely in the accomodations package).

If we do not reach the entire goal then we will send a reduced # of artists this year and carry over any remaining funds to the 2015 WAG Canada National Committee

The Impact

Your contribution will have an invaluable impact upon our committee's efforts to support our national team of artists (and committee members). Many of whom barely make a living off their craft despite their professional level of artist training and creative competennce.

The theme for these inaugrual World Art Games is the "Promotion of Peace and Equality" via the arts, while concentrating on building a world wide network of artists for the sake enhancing artistic excellence and fair trade.

We believe that these two goals will make the world a much better place to live for artists and non-artists alike ~
