The Worship Arts Conservatory is a future college that is dedicated to developing leaders in the worship arts.
Picture for a moment a college in Detroit offering education in all the worship arts: Christian Ministry, Music, Technolgy (Audio and Lighting), Art, Communication (Drama and Film/Video) and Dance. A collaborative environment where students will learn to work with specialists in all the various areas needed to produce an effective worship service. Each one of these students will be involved in local churches as they put their education to practical use. Over time Detroit will become known as the place to go for quality worship education.
Currently there is no college that offers degrees in worship in the Detroit Metropolitan area. Help us be the solution to this problem.
We are seeking $12,000 to move this project forward. We are currently in the research and initial development phase. The funds we raise will be used to:
- $2,000 for Nonprofit Legal assistance.
- $5,000 for professional market analysis.
- $5,000 for research and consultation fees (curriculum, financial aid, facility needs, etc.)
These are the essential first steps that must be taken to bring the vision into reality. Without these steps being taken, the college that is so needed in Detroit area will not come into existence. We realize much more funding will need to happen, but these are the first steps of our journey. Our next phase will develop a marketing plan, hire a professional fundraising consultant and pay for state licensing. Finally we will be able in our third phase to purchase and develop property, hire staff and begin advertising. The final phase, hopefully fall 2014, will be the first school year. But we can't go there until we get these start up funds.
Your contributions will not only allow us to get this project out of the initial dream phase and into reality but also show future prospective contributors that we have a large base of support. Every person who gives a dollar or "likes" us on facebook will help us in the future as we seek the larger donations necessary to purchase property and hire staff.
As the funds come in we will begin the process and go as far as you allow us. Should we raise more than $12,000 we will be able to go even further in our project quicker. Please be part of making this God sized dream a reality!
