Z*Con is feature length film about four teen podcasters who are trapped at a comic convention when the zombie apocalypse breaks out. They use social media to share what’s going on inside with the outside world. It’s kind of like “Goonies” meets “Shaun of the Dead” set in…well….a comic convention. 

Oh...and 100% of the net proceeds from this film, once released, will go to charity! Those charities being the American Red Cross to help with their disaster relief programs, Kids Need to Read to help their mission of providing inspiring books to underfunded schools, libraries, and literacy programs, especially those serving disadvantaged children, and a very small amount Big Damn Films to help cover costs of production and distribution of the film..  Pretty cool idea, hunh?

We don’t believe you should have to pay for the movie twice…unless you want to. So every single contributor of this project will receive, at the minimum, a digital copy of the film. Yep, you read that right. 

We also have a contributor exclusive t-shirt designed by Katie Moest, Production Designer for the Emmy Award Winning Lizzie Bennet Diaries, who is the Production Designer for Z*Con.

Thanks to people all over the world, our first film "Browncoats: Redemption" raised over $117,000 for charity in one year AND...that was only possible thanks to amazing supporters at conventions and online donations. We did it completely grassroots by going straight to the people who supported us and learned a lot about self distribution and the community that makes that possible.

Now, we're taking EVERYTHING we learned on that film and applying that knowledge to "Z*Con" so, with your help, we can raise three times what we did on "Browncoats: Redemption" for the charities we're supporting with this film!

Since this film is a high concept idea, thanks to 221 amazing people, last year we ran a very successful campaign to create a proof of concept of the film to give you a short taste of what the feature film will be like.

So where does the money go?

• Approximately 10% goes to Indiegogo for running this campaign. 
  
• Approximately 10% will go to reward fulfillment and shipping.
  
• The remaining 80% will go towards getting Pre-Production well under way by having our production meeting, table read, promotional photos, behind the scene's, and more covered.
