Hi there!
We're Mario and Dennis, and we are making Zoftilo Voice Chat. If you're reading this, you have probably used some, or many of the available voice chat software today. Some better some worse. Our main goal with this project, is to create a voice chat client and server, that is easy to use, free for personal usage, and at a minimum capable of running on Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
Introduction
We are two swedish guys developing softare on our spare time. We simply love playing online games, as well as developing games and applications. We have used many "VOIP" voice over IP applications over the years. And of course rented servers for our gaming needs. Sometimes ending up abit frustrated, not able to find a simple solution working on several platforms. We wish people to be able to play games and collaborate in any project, while talking to their friends using the operating system of their choice! It's also very important to us, to support Linux as a viable gaming platform in the future.

What We Need & Why
The money will cover our costs for hardware, development tools and keeping them up to date. This means: software, development licenses, computer hardware, and additional assets. If you are generous we will try to make Zoftilo client versions for Android and IOS. Anything extra goes into developing games for Linux and Mac OS X. If there is (against all odds) anything left after that, we will probably have to buy something nice to our very patient wifes and children, who lets us spend so many hours in the evenings, with what we love to do.
Planned beta release is end of may 2013.
What if we don't reach our goal?
If we don't reach our entire goal with this campaign. We will still finish Zoftilo. And we will still try to finish it for as many platforms as possible. However, it will take longer, and we will not be able to make client versions for Android and IOS.
The Impact
Your support means:
Helping us create Zoftilo, will not just support a free multi platform voice chat, you will also encourage and help us creating future multiplayer games for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. Our long term goal, and great passion, is to make Linux known as a strong and viable gaming platform.
