Three years ago we brought the Zuvo Water Filtration System to market because we knew there had to be a better alternative to expensive and environment-destroying bottled water. We knew that if we could provide a way for people to enjoy drinking their tap water again and trust it, then we could help people stay hydrated without having to rely on bottled water. Today we have three years of manufacturing experience under our belt and a community of customers and evangelists who love our product.

Now with Indiegogo, we want to launch a revolutionary ecosystem we call STRATUS. As a start-up company, creating breakthrough products and launching them in the marketplace used to be incredibly difficult. But now with the Indiegogo crowdfunding community a company like ours has the opportunity to bring disruptive technologies to the market.

STRATUS - A WATER ECOSYSTEM THAT TAKES WATER FILTRATION TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Combining stunning faucet design, the Zuvo Water Filtration System, and a Cloud-connected app, STRATUS is the most intelligent water system that exists today. We're asking you to help us launch it by becoming an early invester and to make it possible for us to ultimately make it available to a much bigger market.

Here is a first look at STRATUS which includes: 1) the Zuvo Water Filtration System (countertop or under-counter setup), 2) a stunning Zuvo Beverage Faucet and 3) the Zuvo cloud-connected smartphone app. Together these three components comprise STRATUS which is at the nexus of the water ecosystem we're working to bring to market.

Stylish and Intelligent Faucets

Zuvo has been working for the last year with one of the leading Silicon Valley design firms, D2M, who also created the crowdfunding sensation Instacube. D2M designed and tested STRATUS and created a full range of innovatively designed and styled, intelligent faucets. Faucets will be available in Bamboo and Acacia tri-flow and Hibiscus beverage faucet styles in chrome, brushed nickel and oil-rubbed-bronze finishes.

The intelligent, touch-sensing faucets not only turn on the filtered water but also show users the filter status with intuitive LED lights. Filter status is also provided on the Zuvo Water Filtration System availabile in either an under-counter or countertop set up. The end result is the world’s first intelligent, drinking water system right in your home.

Much More than a Carbon Filter

The Zuvo Water Filtration System is already is in production and independently tested to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 and 55 Class B for Drinking Water Treatment Units by an accredited third-party laboratory. What makes it unique is that it goes beyond simple carbon filtration, by combining ultraviolet light (UV), ozone, and a carbon filter in a patented five-step process. Zuvo recreates nature's way of cleansing water. The ozone/UV combination is not only effective at killing bacteria; the two-pass setup also prevents bacterial film from growing on the filter and contaminating the water. It is the only filter system in the world that is self cleaning. Simple pitcher and faucet filters can't do this!

Water Information Via the Cloud

The combination of Wi-Fi communication built into the Zuvo system and a Cloud-connected app deliver to your smartphone a host of important information about your water such as the remaining life of the filter, the reduction of contaminants in water based on local water quality, and the daily rate of water consumption in your household.

Water Quality Database & Hydration Coach App

Leveraging ease of access through your smartphone and the largest database of water quality information in the world, the STRATUS app provides real-time filter status, online filter purchases and important information about your local water. With the personalized, hydration coaching feature, you can precisely manage all of your daily water consumption requirements. By inputting age and weight, it will give you an approximate daily hydration target.

Customized Filters

Our filter product line today offers solutions for reducing a variety of water contaminants including chlorine, lead, cysts, particulates and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). By leveraging the information available through the national water-quality database, we will greatly expand our filter solutions and offer customized filters to reduce contaminants that are common/prevalent in particular regions of the country.

No More Guessing When it's Time to Change Your Filter

Check your filter status via your smartphone app and order replacement filters or sign up for a filter subscription with just a few clicks. The app tells you when your filter is good (blue), close to needing to be changed (yellow), or that it’s time to change your filter (red). Filter status is also displayed on the Zuvo system as well as on the STRATUS faucets.

Zuvo Water is 100% committed to reducing the global consumption of bottled water and raising consciousness about the value of water. The Stratus reduces the expense and waste of bottled water by not adding to the more than 50 billion plastic water bottles Americans used last year, 40 billion of which ended up in landfills. Additionally, STRATUS is designed according to sustainability principles. Non-painted and BPA-free plastics were chosen for durability, health considerations, and recyclability.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Does the app work on an IOS or Android platform?

The app works on both platforms.

How do I send in my water sample for my home water analysis test?

We will send you a water test kit 30 days after the campaign ends that has a vial to fill with a small amount of your water tap. We will then send you the analysis 30 days after we receive your sample.

What is the estimated cost of the filters and where will they be sold?

The replacement filters we currently offer today retail for about $40 a piece. They are available for purchase through a number of retailers http://www.zuvowater.com/where_to_buy.html and through our the Zuvo Water online store http://www.zuvowater.com/store.

On average, how long do the filters last?

Currently we offer 250 gallon (Standard Capacity Filter and VOC Filter) and 400 gallon (High Capacity Filter) filters that last for 3 and 5 months, respectively. The Zuvo systems that are part of the Indiegogo Perks come with a Standard Capacity Filter (250 gallons).

Will the water connection tube come with a standard screw thread that will work in Europe?

Our systems come with multiple plumbing adaptors to connect the water tube to standard US plumbing. For a European system, you will need an adaptor that converts a US adaptor to a metric system adapter.

Will the Stratus system be 220v complaint?

Yes.

Which water contaminants does the Zuvo system reduce?

Our current system has carbon filter solutions that reduce VOCs, chlorine, lead, cysts and tiny particles in the water. Additionally, the photo oxidation and UV process of the system removes microbiological contaminants such as viruses and bacteria. We will also customizing your water system to your needs. We will provide solutions to eliminate fluoride, ammonia and other contaminants suited to your preferences.

Will the app recognize multiple filters?

The app will recognize more than one filter if a house has multiple Stratus’ installed and be able to push status information of all the filters to you.

Is it possible to hook up the under-counter system to both a Stratus faucet and a second line to feed a refrigerator ice maker?

Yes. A Stratus system will include a “smart box” that allows you to connect directly to an ice maker and to the Stratus faucet.
