Artipia Games is proud to present Briefcase. It is a new and exciting game by two Greek designers, Sotiris Tsantilas and Nikolas Sakaloglou. In a game of Briefcase, two to four players take over the role of young entrepreneurs aiming for wealth and success. By acquiring and activating various companies, players strive for financial supremacy.

Briefcase uses a combination of deck building and resource management mechanisms producing an interesting and unique result.
Each player begins the game with the same Decision cards which form the Decision Deck. Each turn a player draws 4 cards from his deck and uses the cards to acquire and activate companies. During his turn a player can also purchase resources from the resource market in order to pay for the activation costs of his companies. Whenever player activates a company he collects its production and adds it to his Decision Deck.
Company Cards
Steel Factory Company card.
On the top of each company card is the buying cost, status, title and victory point value.
On the bottom is the activation cost, the ability and the production.
The Steel Factory is one of the 30 different companies included in the game. The artwork of the game is done by Antonis Papantoniou, illustrator of Drum Roll. It is still under development. Several company cards in the rulebook are not ready yet. They are currently being created and should appear as updates as our campaign progresses.
Decision Cards
The deck building mechanism evolves around four different decision cards. Those are:
Buy: allows the player to acquire new companies, resource and can also be converted to victory points through the central bank.
Activate: allows the player to activate his companies and produce more decision cards to enrich his deck with.
Hire: allows the player to temporarily use another player's company card by paying him half the production cost.
Obstacles: does nothing but through various company cards becomes a very useful card.

Resource Cards
After acquiring companies, a player needs to activate them in order to produce more decision cards for his deck and score their victory points when the game ends. Each company consumes resources and has a production cost the player must pay each time he wants to activate it. There are 5 basic resources. Personnel, Concrete, Steel, Paper and Energy. A player can purchase the first 4 from the Resource Market in order to activate companies. Energy can only be produced from the Power Plant which is the company each player begins the game with. After one of the resources is exhausted, a sixth resource enters the market, the Imported resource. They can be used as any basic resource but cost double to buy.
Briefcase is language independent. Everything is described through symbols.

Briefcase is scheduled for production around the middle of April 2012. This means that delivery is expected within June of 2012.
The production of the game will be done in Germany's largest manufacturer ensuring the quality of the components.
The game will be dispatched from Greece for worldwide delivery.
For USA and Canada the game will be delivered through our local distributor.
We have a flat shipping cost for EU, USA and Canada which is included in the Perk level.
- Supporters from USA and Canada will be receiving the game through our local distributor which allows us to offer a shipping cost equal to EU.

Supporters from all other countries should include $12 more in their payments because of the higher shipping costs.
- Perks for individual copies of Briefcase include a flat cost of $15 for EU, USA and Canada for shipping, packaging and distributor fees.
Payments are processed through Paypal which ensures the security of your transaction and refund in case our funding goal isn't reached. That does not mean that you need to have a Paypal account nor that you have to create one. You can use any Credit Card.
