You can find below some of aëdle special made-to-order picks: the Sand Beige with the Bronze finish, playing on brown nuances ; the Rose Gold goes pretty well with the Forest Green, reminding a vintage, elegant watch. Designed as a true travel instrument, the VK-X pursues aëdle design philosophy based on the exclusive use of noble materials and secular manufacturing processes around functional yet minimalist shapes.

The Genuine Lambskin Leather we use to cover the VK-X earpads and headband comes from South of France. We work with a company specialized in high-end lambskin that works with the finest Parisian luxury brands to ensure the lightweight, flexible and soft finish we require to craft headphones that could be worn for several hours in one sitting.
Aircraft Grade Aluminium parts bring to the VK-X its recognizable industrial and minimalist feel. We machine them one after one out of a single block of premium aluminum for a stable result.

We are a small team of passionate people that thrive every day to produce the best audio products in our Parisian atelier located in Rue Campagne Première, a street that became well-known thanks to the international artists that lived there.

We today have a fully working prototype of the VK-X, and validated most of its mechanical components for the production stage that will begin this summer.
We are refining the sound signature in order to reach our target sound signature and adjusting the Active Noise Cancelling microphones to make it even more efficient. Apart from this, we are also currently fine-tuning the software that will pilot the VK-X and adjust mechanical tolerances to provide the best conditions for Mass Production.

As we already produced several audio products successfully and built a solid sourcing network, production is not an issue for us and we are confident we will deliver the VK-X now that we finished the prototype stage.
However, tooling, testing and producing molds requires a tremendous amount of resources for a small company like us. We decided to crowdfund the launch of the VK-X to collect enough funding for this reason.
Risk 1. If we don’t reach our funding goal, we know we won’t be able to launch production properly, which will lead to a risk we don’t want to take: create and ship a bad product. If this were to happen, we will refund entirely our backers in this case and pause the VK-X development to save our brand reputation.
Risk 2. The second risk we might encounter is a delay in delivery caused by one of our sourcing partners. Delays, as we experienced in the past years, could be frequent when producing such a product. Having already planned and coordinated everything with our partners, we can expect a delay limited to 1 month, which will make us deliver the VK-X in December instead of November.
That being said, we will make sure to communicate with our backers on a frequent basis to keep them informed with the due transparency and honesty demanded by this kind of venture.

Will the VK-X use 5.0 Bluetooth?
The VK-X is Bluetooth 4.2 and not 5.0 since there is no added value in terms of sound quality between the 2 versions. The upgrades offered by 5.0 Bluetooth (Range x4, Throughput x2) are exclusive to BT Low Energy, which is not really adapted to continuous music streaming as it sends small packets of information. That being said, the VK-X Bluetooth 4.2 is, of course, compatible with devices that use Bluetooth 5.0. For more info, you can access our blog post.
Will the VK-X accessories include a Lightning cable?
There will not be a Lightning cable included with the VK-X accessories. We have not had the time to develop this particular cable for the campaign but we plan to work on made-for-iPhone cables by the end of the year.
Will the VK-X have a hard or a soft case?
We will provide a hard-case with the VK-X. We are currently working on the design, which explains why we don't have any packshot yet. The hard case will be faithful to the product and adapted to travel. We will provide pictures shortly.

What is the VK-X warranty?
As all our audio products, the VK-X is warranted internationally for 2 years.
What is our return policy?
As a crowdfunding project, a return policy is not mandatory. However, we are committed 100% to do things well with all the respect and gratitude we have for our supporters. This is why we offer the following return policy:
- Full Refunds are authorized (by Indiegogo) until July 19th (end of the campaign)
- Starting July 20th, you are onboard with us, there will be no refunds processed until the delivery of your headphones scheduled for November.
- Once you receive your headphones, if you are not satisfied with them for any reason, you have 15 days to get a refund at the following conditions:
- Send us back the headphones in original condition
- Once we receive them, we will issue a full refund of your original pledge minus the following:
> 8 % Processing Fee from the Crowdfunding platform (not us)
> Shipping Fee
In addition, extra 50 USD pledged by backers who selected the Made to Order option will not be refunded.
What is the campaign tax policy?
Local taxes, duties and VAT are not included in the campaign prices and due upon reception of the goods:
- For citizens outside the E.U., extra charges such as import duties and / or sales tax may be applied by local authorities upon reception of the goods
- For citizens in the E.U., we will require an extra VAT charge prior to sending the goods to be compliant with the E.U. Tax regulation
