Having worked as an actor and storyteller for 10 years, Alia was selected in 2011 to take part in the National Theatre's year long Step Change Programme to train as a producer. Alia is now Sandpit Arts' Creative Producer. She is a keen advocate and supporter of high-quality British-Arab artists who tell stories with a unique voice and style, hence her full fledged enthusiasm for Hannah Khalil's writing!
