<p><span>Vanessa Thompson is a local actor, singer, and stage manager who has been a member of Miami's performing arts community for over 10 years. Born and raised in Miami, her professional career started when she received an internship at New Theatre in Coral Gables. Along the way she has managed their box office,&nbsp;debuted as an actor in a world premier production, received several supporting acting roles with the company, and became their Production Stage Manager for the 2010-2011 season.&nbsp;Her most recent performances include&nbsp;</span><em>The Miami One Act Festival</em><span>,&nbsp;New Theatre's critically acclaimed production of&nbsp;</span><em>Equus</em><span>,&nbsp;</span><em>Girl Play</em><span>;&nbsp;an annual play reading festival by The Women's Theater Project, and&nbsp;</span><em>The One Minute Play Festival</em><span>&nbsp;at Deering Estate. Her goal is to open Miami's eyes and hearts to the beauty of LIVE performance by starting with our children!&nbsp;</span></p>
