La Fournaise is a late-eighteen-century industrial building now being restored in order to host artistic and cultural projects. Artists, filmmakers, photographers and experts in territory development are active in La Fournaise. This heterogeneous group collaborates in video and photographic project and local development initiatives. La Fournaise project is entirely privately funded and is a non-profit cultural organization.
