James Grissom is the author of the critically acclaimed "Follies of God: Tennessee Williams and His Women" (Knopf, March 2015)
Former writer for various television programs, Mr. Grissom is now working on "Come Up A Man: The Hungers of Marlon Brando," which details the two-year phone conversation he enjoyed with Marlon Brando, which began after the death of their mutual friend Barbara Baxley. The book is not so much a biography as it is a search for answers to some vital questions posed by Mr. Brando, and answered by the likes of Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, Alec Guinness, Paul Scofield, and John Gielgud.
