Help Change a Traditional Learning Environment to an Active Learning Environment

My name is Bob Kuhn and I teach biology at Centennial High School in Roswell, GA. I have taught at Centennial for almost 17 years. Effective teaching that leads to learning has shifted from a "teacher centered" model of instruction to a "learner centered" model. However, classrooms in schools do not reflect this pedagogical change. Classrooms are still built and maintained to have the teacher the center of attention at the front of the room. Help me change this in my biology classroom.
