Short Summary
Having lived close to the Goli Otok for years, our director Antonina has always been fascinated by the Island.
"This is a place of great mystery that I've been fascinated by for many years. It represents a shameful past and needs redemption, which is why we need to show its potential for a new chapter"
Antonina Blazanovic, director.
The island itself, Goli Otok known as 'Naked Island', has a dark past surrounded by mystery. The islands darkest time took place in a period of "Informbiro" between 1949 and 1958, when political prisoners, the opponents of the then Tito communist regime and followers of the Stalinist regime were imprisoned and tortured.
The prison finally closed in 1989 abandoning the many buildings made up of tile factories, prison cells and lavish houses for the guards. Although many of the buildings have started to crumble they still hold traces of its horrific past.
Interested? Don't worry, with some financial help we can give you visual access to this monstrous place in a way that captures it's eerie and alluring atmosphere.

We may be a small crew but we are mighty and have a lot of talent between us. Having visited the island, Mabel and Lisa share Antoninas vision of bringing life back to the island.
What We Need & What You Get
We want to make the best film that we can. Despite putting our own money aside for this inspiring project we are in need of a few helping hands.
The money we raise will go towards the production and post production elements of filmmaking. These include, feeding the crew, getting the crew to the island, any extra equipment needed, post sound production and submitting the film to festivals.
By donating you will become a part of a small but loving family who have a true passion for this project, we'd love to share this experience with you all and share the island with the world.
