UPDATE 6/29/15:
Thank you for all your support so far. Reaching the fundraising goal in just one week speaks to the how much our community values this project. I'm so excited to be working on this. Thank you for your support!
Stretch goal: $45,085
1. Players sleep soundly!
In the original budget, I didn't set money aside for any "worst case scenarios." Van breaks down? Game rained out? Low attendance in a city? With this extra funding, we'll have a security net to be able to sleep soundly and know that we won't be paying out of pocket for uncontrollables.
2. Player travel costs
15 players and 3 staff are currently paying an average of $300 in travel cost out of pocket to get the Tour's start and end locations. Help make the project affordable for the players, some of whom are fundraising on their own to make this happen!
3. A picture is worth a thousand words
We'd really like to be able to tell the story of this tour through images. Help us compensate photographers to shoot our games.
The All-Star Ultimate Tour is an exciting project with a clear mission: to promote women in ultimate.
What is the All-Star Ultimate Tour?
The All-Star Ultimate Tour 2015 is a group of elite college-aged female ultimate players who are traveling across the United States from July 27th to August 14th to play the top women's club teams in the country. The games are an opportunity for you to come watch the best female players in your city and to support the growth of our sport by following the Tour via the FREE live-streamed games.
Who are the All-Star Ultimate players?
We are the next generation of female athletes and leaders. We have been selected for our incredible ultimate achievements and for our exemplar sportsmanship. What brings us together? Our utter dominant All-Star status. We hail from across the country and have competed in all of the possible divisions: College D-I Nationals, Women's Club, Mixed Club, US National teams, US Beach Beach National teams etc. We will inspire the new generation of female ultimate players.
Why do an All-Star Ultimate tour?
Our work is part of a greater global movement. The All-Star Ultimate Tour 2015 is an opportunity to show the world how powerful and skilled female athletes are. Gender inequality is a reality. This project is a step in the right direction for our sport, but we hope that the empowerment it facilitates reverberates beyond the ultimate community and plays a part in the global movement for gender equality.

How does it work?
We're driving two vans from Seattle, WA to Boston, MA and stopping to play the top women's club teams in major cities. Each showcase game will be an opportunity to highlight women in ultimate. Games will be live-streamed for free for those unable to attend in person. With the number of hours of footage covering men's ultimate increasing and so many venues for men to compete in, this tour is one way for our community to support female athletes and women in ultimate.
Who is heading the All-Star Ultimate Tour?
This idea was born out of the experience of playing women's ultimate. Words from the founder of the All-Star Ultimate Tour: "My name is Qxhna Titcomb, and I decided to take on this project because I am passionate about ultimate frisbee, and about the status of women in the sport. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, I followed the Nexgen Tour's games, and have seen first-hand the stars that it has produced. I realized from the beginning that where young male athletes could aspire to be a part of the tour, there was no such avenue for young female players. My goal in putting on this tour is to create an opportunity for young female players to play the best teams in the country, and to showcase the showdown between the established and the up-and-coming."
