Overview
While Louie deals with some issues from his supplier, Peter does his dirty work delivering drugs to all sorts of folks living in gentrified Brooklyn. Most people find discomfort when interacting with Peter, but he's met his match when he meets Abby at his last delivery of the day. In the meantime, all hell has broken loose back home.

About The Project

Louie's Brother Peter is a project that's been brewing for a little over a year. I wanted a piece that could serve as a love letter to South Brooklyn along as a directorial debut that has the tone and style that made me want to make films in the first place. The story hits home in more ways than one. In many ways I identify with Peter as the underdog or the unlikely survivor. Being able to complete the film would already be a huge accomplishment.

Vocationally I'm a Cinematographer on indie projects as well as documentaries and I'm very happy and blessed to do so. This move to the director's chair is a unique opportunity to express everything I've ever wanted from indie filmmaking. Good crews. Fun stories. A Pam Grier tribute and a little bit of fake blood. Please consider partnering with me and my team and bring this film to life.

Inclusion Statement

The story is diverse. It takes place in gentrified Brooklyn and the film represents that. Our lead character's are Italian brothers one with a black girlfriend who has a Chinese neighbor. Our director being a Puerto Rican born and raised in Brooklyn is telling the story of the reality of the city.

About This Team

Steve Carmona | Director/ Writer

Steve Carmona is a Cinematographer and Producer born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. As a student of the down and dirty gorilla filmmaking movement of the 90's, Steve has a love for gritty personal storytelling and smaller crews. His first feature film as cinematographer and producer "Adrift" premiered at The International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival and screened at The Downtown Independent in Los Angeles in 2016.

As both Producer and Cinematographer, he's done work on commercials, features, high end corporate and documentary but has a special place in his heart for small stories based in the real world with a little bit of style. He resides in South Brooklyn with his wife Amanda.

Aaron Dean Eisenberg | Producer

Recently, Aaron was a lead on Public Morals on TNT directed by Ed Burns & Exec Produced by Stephen Spielberg.  He's currently recurring on the first season of an upcoming HBO show called The Deuce starring James Franco & Maggie Gyllenhaal, created by David Simon & Richard Price (The Wire, The Night Of) premiering some time this Spring.  https://www.ispot.tv/topic/actor-actress/krU/aa..., coordinated & produced for fashion shoots & international liquor brands, smaller boutique companies, charities, social causes, & a myriad of fictional narrative.  He's spent most of his time these days building an incubator for the film-making community here in NYC & Louie's Brother Peter is one of our early projects.

"It's kickass & authentic & the team we have is legit & I'm super psyched about it.  We've attained so much of what need to for this project & this campaign would put us across the finish-line."

James Cernero | Producer

James Cernero is a Brooklyn based Director, Videographer and Producer. He's produced, directed and shot short documentaries, music videos & short films. He's making the transition from documentary into narrative film and is excited about upcoming projects scheduled for 2017.

James also, is working to build an incubator for filmmakers with Aaron Dean Eisenberg that's producing it's first film for the spring of 2017.

Brittany Santagata | Co-Producer

Brittany is a Brooklyn-based Producer with experience in the corporate, narrative, and documentary realms of filmmaking, having produced both short-form scripted film, as well as long-form documentary. She combines her film and sociology backgrounds to explore moving narratives that focus on personal growth and development.

Brady Kirchberg | Co-Producer

Brady Kirchberg has been producing content in New York since 2011, ranging from short-form, branded content, to reality TV and travel shows, to narrative, scripted projects.  Coming up through the Locations world, he's become very familiar with the Indie film scene, working on a number of award-winning independent features and series, including HBO's new hit series, "High Maintenance."  Brady is excited to help realize this visual poem to South BK, and to be working with a talented and passionate team.
