Synopsis
Britt is a small town girl who unwittingly becomes a muse to eccentric fashion designer, Edsel Von Macramé. As she becomes increasingly tormented by psychic visions of grisly occult murders within the industry, as more and more models disappear and Von Mac works on his radical new line, Britt and famed fashion journalist Rosemary Crawley team up to search for the horrific truth. What’s behind this string of murdered models? And what glamorous terrors await them within The House of Von Macramé?
A pop horror fashion show, The House of Von Macramé is a celebration of stylish European horror films from the 60′s and 70′s, an extravaganza of design and spectacle, and an exploration of iconoclasts.

What’s Different and What We Need:
This is a new musical that mashes up many genres and speaks to several underserved audiences at once. This is The Management's most ambitious work to date:
- The music is synth and drum machine in a DJ setup. It is unapologetically hip, stylish and young. In other words, this ain’t no South Pacific. That said, we'll need to rent body mikes for the entire cast, which is pretty costly.
- As an ensemble piece about the fashion industry with multiple built-in runway shows, we’ll be working with a small army of designers to ensure that this plays more like an event than just a play. This is high spectacle, and we aim to deliver. A lion's share of the budget is going to design.
- Horror, as a theater genre, is under served. We’ll be working with some of the country’s best gore masters in creating some outrageously macabre special effects sure to shock and delight. Exploding heads and eviserations make a KA-CHING! noise.
- And, last but not least, The Management always pays our artists. Always. Every single one of them.
