FILM SYNOPSIS-
The Knot is a psychological horror about a woman fighting a breakdown after realizing she's wasted her entire life striving to be the ideal version of herself, without knowing who she even is. Confined to the cage of her studio apartment, she descends into madness, confronting the ghosts of those who have come and gone in an obsessive effort to learn where she went wrong, in order to finally face herself alone.

Director, Rebecca Schwab:
Rebecca got her start at the Connecticut Film Industry Training Program, where she was trained to work as a Script Supervisor. She has been working as a Script Supervisor in NY Film and Television for roughly 10 years. Some notable shows include Alien Dawn, Deadbeat, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cake, Iron Fist, Defenders, and Power. Though it has always been her dream to Direct, she has not had the opportunity to work toward this goal until recently. Over the past year, Rebecca has taken writing, acting and Directing classes to further educate herself. School projects aside, The Knot is her first short film. Her Directorial debut.

Writer, Cristine Chambers:
Born and raised in New York, Cristine Chambers got her start on The Sopranos. After many years working with writers, she was staffed as one herself on HBO's Boardwalk Empire, culminating in a WGA award nomination for Most Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series. Since then, Cristine's written for Marvel TV, Cinemax, and developed various projects, including a graphic novel series and feature film adaptation. She's currently a Producer on the CW's Riverdale.

EVE, Christiane Seidel:
Christiane Seidel is an international actress who stars as Martha, a mysterious free-spirited woman in the Netflix mini-series, Godless. She was recently known as Sigrid Mueller, the murderous Norwegian nanny-turned-wife to Michael Shannon's rogue FBI Agent Nelson Van Alden on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Her television debut was a Guest Star on NBC Universal's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 12 Premiere. Christiane also starred as FBI Agent Sarah DeSoto in the noir-feature film, The Hollow, produced by Lisa Bruce (The Theory of Everything) as well as several German television comedy feature films. Christiane is a member of the Scandinavian American Theater Company that introduces award-winning contemporary Scandinavian plays to the USA and starred in the American Off-Broadway premiere of Then Silence by acclaimed Norwegian playwright Arne Lygre. She is fluent in English, German, and Danish.

MOTHER, Hilary Greer:
Hilary Greer (Mother) is a native New Yorker and a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College who has appeared in over 30 film and television projects. Recent notable roles include series regular on Teen Nick’s award-winning ALIEN DAWN, the lead in Lifetime’s STALKED BY MY DOCTOR: THE RETURN (opposite Eric Roberts), and an appearance in the pilot of GYPSY (opposite Naomi Watts). She has recently started producing and is currently in pre-production for two feature films. When she is not working, you can find her fostering dogs, going on adventure trips, and helping tourists find their way to Macy’s.
