About our campaign
We love being 100% grain-to-glass and making absolutely everything onsite from all local grains. This all local approach extends to 2bar Bourbon, the first bourbon ever made entirely on-site from scratch in Seattle.
You can find our spirits in over 330 locations in Washington State; bars, restaurants, liquor and grocery stores and we need your help to make more!
Our biggest challenge is keeping up with demand for our bourbon as we keep running low. It takes a lot of early investment to make bourbon so that it's aged to perfection.
Whether you love bourbon, are a brewery looking to reuse barrels, or just want your own barrel, this is your chance to help a craft distillery compete with the big guys.
About 2bar Spirits:
(photo of my grandfather and father on the 2bar ranch in South Texas)
2bar® Spirits is descended from five generations who ranched their land under the 2bar brand. For more than a century we have stood for quality, independence and hard work. Now those characteristics transcend to 2bar Spirits, handcrafted in Seattle, Washington.
We need your help with barrels!
As a small business, buying barrels is difficult. There is a large upfront cost for barrels, and then it takes time for them to age.
We are looking to raise $9,600 to help us purchase additional barrels. With this we can expand our production to meet the rapidly growing demand for our bourbon.
When you support our campaign, you will get access to single barrel releases of 2bar Bourbon. Also, we will do a single release of associated shot glasses, shirts and hats!
How will this help us and Washington State?
We purchase our corn and wheat directly from Eastern Washington farmers. This relationship allows us to ensure quality of spirits and help our local community. It also keeps more money in-state and helps keep family farmers in business.
We focus solely on the Northwest with the majority of our business in Washington State and a few accounts in Portland. 2bar is the epitome of a local business; we source locally, make everything locally and sell everything locally!
What makes bourbon, Bourbon?
- Grain based spirits made from >50% corn
- Made anywhere in the United States of America
- Distilled below 160 Proof (80% alcohol)
- Aged in new, charred white oak barrels at or below 125 Proof (62.5% alcohol)
What does this mean? Well, we can't reuse any of our barrels to make bourbon, which is an expensive proposition for a small startup distillery.
Risks & Challenges
There are a number of risks associated with this campaign:
- We might experience delays in delivery of the necessary grain and barrels
- We might experience production issues, though we are a fully bonded and licensed distillery that has been producing for two and half years
- We cannot yet say with certainty how long it will take to age the bourbon, which could lead to extended delivery times

Important Note!
