Who Are Troublemaker Games?

We are an established wargames company with our own range of plastic, metal and resin miniatures, whose sculptors also have experience doing freelance work for other companies such as Mantic Games (Plastic and resin kits), Steel Crown Productions (Plastic bases and metal models) and Dark Realm Miniatures (Metal miniatures), as well as several other companies.

We have previously run three other Crowdfunding Campaigns, to deliver the opening model range of our 6mm scale wargame, Defeat In Detail.

To date we have delivered all the metal kits from our Wave 1 and Wave 2 and Wave 3 crowdfunding campaigns to our customers. The plastic models element of Wave 1 has been hit by several delays (plastics production takes a much longer time than metal), but should be delivered soon... and so we're now opening up "Wave 4" for pre-ordering.

As with Waves 2 and 3 of our crowdfunding campaigns, this campaign will be for metal models only.

What We Need & What You Get

Our 6mm scale models in this funding campaign are intended to reinforce our Defeat In Detail range of models, by adding more models to our existing range.

As we cross stretch goals, we'll be unlocking more models, some of which can be seen in silhouette below...

We have many designs already sculpted, and without a crowdfunding campaign it would be another year or even two before we could afford to put them all into production, so your interest and support at this stage means we can put out more metal models at a much faster rate than would otherwise be possible.

Note that this is a Crowdfunding Campaign, and conforms to the rules and requirements of Paypal's Crowdfunding Regulations, which can be examined in detail here.

The Models

Note that we can still take feedback on the models in this crowdfunding campaign, so we can improve the sculpts further by adding extra details (etc) before they are cast up and sent out.

All of the models in this campaign are METAL models.

Eloi Close Combat Specialists

Eloi warrior mystics practice their arts for decades, until they are more precise in their application of bladed weapons than any non-enhanced human can possibly be.

Eloi Close Combat sets will contain:

- 40x Eloi Aid'Ai with shear-swords

- 40x Eloi Kend'ai with recurved swords

- 20x Eloi Jed'ai with Naginatas

Novan Elites Artillery and Anti-Aircraft Tanks

The FV432 APC hull used by the Novan Elites provides the modular basic core of several variant vehicles, including artillery and anti-aircraft configurations.

Trojan APC hulls are 3cm long and 2.2cm wide.

Novan Affray Elites in Heavy Armour

When facing the strongest of infantry opponents, the Elite of Tusculum Nova will occasionally call upon their Heavy Armour squads. Most Affray Elite troopers are equipped with twin rocket grenade launchers, and augmetic combat hands, whilst one in five will carry a rotary cannon in order to provide firepower at a greater distance.

Novan Elites Quadbikers

Novan Elite Quadbike detachments are used to attack the enemy with a combination of firepower and close combat capability, simultaneously.

The Quadbiker set will contain 32x Quadbikers with twin grenade launchers & shear-swords, and 4x Quadbikers with microwave cannon.

Skinnerz Tanks

Skinnerz tanks are often individual designs, unique in appearance, but not to be underestimated.

Each Skinnerz Tank set contains 4 unique hulls and 4 unique turrets, allowing for 16 possible combinations for increased aesthetic variety.

The turret sockets have been sized to be able to accept Skinnerz Heavy Cannons, from the existing Troublemaker Games range, if desired:

Eloi Flittertank

As the morlockian Skinnerz represent the failure of Novan genetic engineering to create a useful servant class, so too do the gracile Eloi reveal themselves as another such rejected experiment, this time intended at creating a leadership cadre for Novan settlement planets.

Faster, more intelligent, and with a longer lifespan than the average human, the Eloi are everything their creators intended them to be, everything except loyal.

The Eloi ultimately revealed themselves to be uninterested in the affairs of governing the Novan settlements, and gradually they slipped away from mainstream Novan worlds to form colonies of their own, until few Eloi remained upon planets or territories under direct control of the Novan hegemony.

Eventually, the remaining Eloi within the kingdom interbred with other humans, losing most of their genetic distinctiveness as a distinct social group, but on their own colony worlds, the young Eloi democracies have begun to flourish, and occasionally come into conflict with other factions, including Novan armies.

According to their temperament, and general high level of intelligence, Eloi armies are able to issue their forces with a higher level of technology than most Novan or Skinnerz forces are capable of sustaining in the field. Thus even their most basic of tanks or vehicles can be expected to display a high degree of mechanical sophistication.

This Eloi Flittertank set contains Radium anti-tank cannon turrets and Francium anti-aircraft turrets.

Cybershadows War Stalkers - Gallant Configuration

 Cybershadows forces use War Stalker light mechs as part of their combat forces.

Each War Stalker can wield equivalent martial capability to a platoon of infantry or medium tanks, and when operating in hunting packs only Leviathan Stalkers can hope to oppose them for concentrated combat potential.

Cybershadows War Stalkers are 30mm tall to the cockpit window (they'd be a little taller if they stood up straight).

Using the existing Troublemaker Games War Stalkers bodies, but with new weapon arms, we are expanding our range of War Stalker configurations.

Each set comes with the following components:

- 5x War Stalker Bodies

- 4x War Stalker heads

- 1x War Stalker Commander head

- 5x Powered Sword Arms

- 5x 120mm rifled cannon

- 5x 40mm diameter plastic bases

Skinnerz Infantry

The human gene-mutants known as Skinnerz were an early experiment in creating a genetically modified hardy breed of servile human workers during the initial colonisation of the fifty worlds. Increasing their muscle bulk and bone density had a cost however, as although their intellects remained within normal human range, increased charges of adrenaline lead to heightened aggression and reduced tolerance for following orders.

The first worlds were colonised successfully by the Novan peoples with the assistance of Skinnerz workers, but ultimately Novan hegemony was not to last, as a series of violent rebellions by Skinnerz led to the fall of Novan authority on three whole planets, as well as leaving some planets partially contested.

Incensed against normal humans due to their hundreds of years of slavery, Skinnerz rebellions gradually changed from actions aimed at the overthrow of their Novan overlords, to the destruction of all Novan peoples across the fifty worlds of Tusculum.

Within the realms of the Novan Kingdom, Skinnerz worker usage was phased out, redundant workers being exiled to rebel-held areas in exchange for (typically brief) peace treaties, or simply exterminated in massacres that have become memorialised as war cries amongst surviving Skinnerz.

With a history of bloody conflict and entrenched hatred, between Novans and Skinnerz the future seems one of inevitable warfare.

Note: We will be releasing plastic Skinnerz infantry within the next few months, but these sculpts provide more visual variety than the mono-pose plastics will.

Novan Elites Specialists

The Novan Elites Specialists pack contains a variety of model types, including Banner bearers, Commanders, Mystics, Priests, Heavy Weapons troopers, Logisticians, and tracked support cannons.

Banner bearers are used in ceremonial duties, but are sometimes deployed into combat operations to demoralise the enemy by proudly displaying the Lion's Banner.

Novan Elites Commanders are given their status according to the King's wishes, and normally are given along with land and a noble title on one of the King's planetary domains.

Mystics use incantations and magical spells to destroy the enemies of the King, whilst Priests summon no less deadly support from the three gods of Tusculum Nova.

Heavy Weapons troopers are deployed by Novan Elites armies according to the needs of the army, either joining Affray squads as their attached heavy weapon carrier, or forming dedicated Redoubt squads that concentrate their firepower.

Lastly, Logisticians are deployed by Elites armies to manage supply of ammunition and consumables for the army, but during battles they may also be seen controlling tracked weapons carriages (both Quad Laser and Quad Mortar variants are employed) to support the front line action or provide a firebase to pin the enemy in place whilst the Elites prepare a new advance.

This set contains 6x of each sculpt pictured, for a total of 120 models, and 24 plastic bases.

Novan Light Walkers

Novan armies use light walkers for carriage of squad level heavy weapons, scouting harassment duties, and medium intensity combat. Lacking thick armour, they are no substitute for a battle tank, but are considerably more maneuverable in rough terrain such as canyons or destroyed cities.

Novan Desert Scout Quads

Novan desert-based armies are often issued with hundreds of personal quad bikes. Ranging far across the dunes and dry canyons, Novan Quads act as scouts in environments where more advanced technological scanners are blocked or actively jammed. 

Novan Desert Royal Marines

Amongst the most elite of the armies of Tusculum Nova, the Desert Royal Marines are armed with the best laser beamers and plasmic dischargers, and expertly trained in infiltration techniques until they are an infantry force of almost unmatched lethality.

Novan Desert Infantry Specialists

The Winter Infantry specialists pack includes squad level direct support weapons, spotters, light artillery, and command models.

Novan Scout Buggies

Novan Desert armies make use of scout buggies to provide light harassment duties, using direct fire beam lasers for anti-vehicle work, and light grenade mortars for anti-infantry duties.

Novan Scout buggies are 2cm long, and 1.5cm long.

Skinnerz Crusher

The Crusher is a medium sized heavy mech, armed with multiple heavy weapons, used by Skinnerz armies to face off against the heaviest of hostile forces.

Skinner Crushers are approximately 5cm tall, depending on the pose chosen, and each Crusher comes with the following components:

Cybershadows Dreadnought Stalker

Cybershadows forces use Dreadnought Stalker ultra-heavy mechs in order to bring incredible concentrations of firepower to bear upon the enemy.

An individual Leviathan Stalker is capable of matching whole companies of Novan or Skinnerz troops with ease, and when deployed en-masse, they can be almost impossible to stop.

Cybershadows Dreadnought Stalkers are approximately 7cm tall to the top of the back (taller if including the height of the upper chassis gun), depending on the pose chosen, and each Stalker comes with the following components:

- 1x full Dreadnought Stalker
- 3x optional Dreadnought Stalker heads
- 1x Heavy Rotary Cannon Arm Weapon
- 1x Macro Laser Arm Weapon

Novan Desert Infantry

Armed in a similar manner to conventional Novan Rifle squads, the Desert Infantry are issued with survival equipment and water-reclamation bodysuits intended for operations conducted in extremely hot environments, where exposed flesh leeches moisture into the harsh atmosphere.

Novan Elites Attack Skimmers

Novan Elites use attack skimmers to harass enemy troop  and armour movements, before the heavier forces move in for the kill.

Attack Skimmers are 3cm long.

Novan Elites F432 Trojan APC

The Trojan Armoured Personnel Carrier is the primary transportation of the Novan Elites.

Trojan APC's are 3cm long and 2.2cm wide.

Skinnerz Gun Vector

Skinnerz armies use light vehicles called Vectors to carry heavy weapons into battle. One of the more useful variants of this light tractor chassis is the Gun Vector, which mounts a heavy calibre machine gun, mounted on a servo-stabilised platform.

As a general harassment unit, the Gun Vector makes for a rapid harassment striker, dashing behind enemy lines to hit at vulnerable rear areas.

Gun Vectors are 2.7cm long and 1.4cm wide.

Selecting Multiple Perks

If you wish to purchase a set of models more than once, please use the "perk button" in question multiple times so that it shows up on our dispatch system correctly, rather than clicking on it once and adding the extra money required for multiple copies - if you do that, we get the money, but it shows up on our dispatch system that you only pre-ordered one set, not multiple copies of that set.

International Postage

Please don't forget to add £3 for international postage for your first pledge, if you are ordering your models from a non-UK country.

Should you make subsequent international pledges, £1 extra should suffice, rather than the full £3.

Potential Risks?

We anticipate there being no special risks to the products in this crowdfunding campaign. Troublemaker Games have a long experience of sculpting, casting and delivering metal models.

We have estimated a June delivery date for the products in this crowdfunding campaign, and anticipate no problems in meeting this deadline.

The worst eventuality we envisage happening is a slight delay to our dispatches (perhaps caused by a greater than expected backing for our campaign, leading to a production bottleneck), leading to a July delivery date rather than June.
