Short Summary
Drowning is the second highest cause of accidental death in the United States among children, and in 17 states it is the number 1 cause of accidental death. AJADD (Albert Jones Anti-Distress Device) is our technology developed in the form of a wearable watch to alert lifeguards and caretakers of a life-threatening situation involving a swimmer. Our emphasis is to create a more efficient interaction
between swimmers and lifeguards in
swimming pool and ocean settings using wireless technology which will create a first alert warning system for an emergency situation.
The Goal of Better Life Technologies is to
provide state of the art swimmer safety systems.
AJADD’s products will maintain # 1 position in wireless
swimwear technology and to that end we have assembled one of the most
sophisticated engineering and swim safety development teams in
the world.

What We Need & What You Get
We need $360,000.00 to complete a ready-for-market prototype which includes legal fees for acquiring additional patents. Our funding will be used exclusively to fund the cost or our prototype and the legal fees of new patent filings. If we fall short of our goal, the funds will be divided between engineering and new patent filings.
There are three contribution categories that come with perks:
- Copper Level: $25.00 contribution you get an autographed copy of the first page of our patent and your name will be mentioned on our contributors page on our website.
- Silver Level: $50.00 contribution you get an autographed copy of the first page of our patent application in a frame with glass that you can hang on your wall. Your name will also be mentioned on our contributors page for you gift.
- Platinum Level: $150.00 or more you will get a signed autographed copy of the first page of our patent and your name will be mentioned on the contributors page of our website. We will also be doing a special video that where I will mention your name, and have a picture of you or your family, and a little about you, and I will give a personal appreciation of your gift.
The Impact
There are an estimated 400, 000 annual drowning deaths
worldwide. Global estimates may significantly underestimate the
actual public health problem related to drowning. Children, males and individuals with increased access to
water are most at risk of drowning. The global burden and death from drowning
is found in all economies and regions, however: low- and middle-income countries account for 96% of
unintentional drowning deaths. Over the past 5 years millions of people have died from drowning. Many would have been scientists, doctors, educators and meaningful contributors to our society. Our goal with our device is "to turn drowning from a world wide epidemic to a rare occurrence."
Risks & Challenges
As we see it, our greatest risk comes from the possibility of someone duplicating our technology and stealing what we have worked so hard to create. Our remedy to this is to keep our engineers busy with developing new supplemental technologies keep us head and shoulders ahead of the potential competition. However, a big part of this is getting to the marketplace first, that will be key, and we need your help to make this happen.
Other Ways You Can Help
We need you to get the word out. Simply by forwarding our crowdfunding site to your friends and family and associates you help us in the battle to save the lives of future drowning victims.
