Overview

This campaign is for A Bird In The Shadow, a film that is highly inspired by The Twilight Zone and takes real life tragedies, and turns them into a fantasy. A fantasy that explores many ideas, while also being thrilling and entertaining. This story is important to me because I have been working on it for 4 years. I am also creating this short film for my Senior College Thesis which will result in my graduating from The School of Visual Arts in May 2017. Please click "Back It" today! Thank you!

Short Summary

I am D.M. Galloway, a young filmmaker from Brooklyn, New York. In 2017 I will be receiving a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts as long as this film is made.
"A Bird In The Shadow," is a Twilight Zone inspired short film that follows actor Eric Wu during his final days on the set of his new movie. Eric's father Jim Wu was a legendary actor who died under mysterious circumstances when Eric was young. Since then, Eric has had premonitions of his own death as he continues his father's legacy. Can Eric escape death and finish his latest film?
The money raised will go towards paying the eight actors, purchase the costumes and props, acquire the necessary film locations, and pay for transportation. Contributors will be credited for their contributions at the end of the film.

What We Need & What You Get

I need $4,000 to complete my film. Half of the money will be used for equipment, renting locations, lighting and transportation. The rest of the money will be used to pay the actors and provide their costumes.
You can donate any amount. I am offering a DVD copy of the film to anyone who donates $20 or more to the film they will help to create. Names of the donors will also be credited at the end of the film.

The Impact

This film is going to break new grounds in independent filmmaking. My plan is to get this film played at film festivals so that it can get seen by more people and receive more recognition.
