A veteran civil servant takes on greater and greater roles as his colleagues are terminated leading him to a final confrontation with the occupant of the Oval Office.
This is a film about what is happening to members of the U.S. Civil Service as they are being terminated in a reckless and foolish way. While this film is set and filmed in the DC Metro area, these firings impact every aspect of life in America, and every community. Although it is political satire, it is both current and raw. You will get mad. You will laugh. You will have to think about how you will respond.
- My name is Elliott Bales. I am a retired U.S. Army Veteran. I am also an actor and a small business owner.
- I wrote this screenplay in response to what is happening to my family, friends, and colleagues as the chaos in our leadership is disrupting lives. It isn't enough for me to just put up a social media post. I decided to use my talents, knowledge of government, and can-do attitude to tell a story that puts these actions into perspective. But I do it in a satirical way to invite all people into a dialogue. Yes, in a civil way.
- I have personally invested 1/3 of the necessary funding to pay for this film. I am asking you to join our team in this campaign and be a part of telling a vital story.
What We Need & What You Get
- We are currently raising $30K to begin filming in late May 2025. The funds will go to pay for some of the most recognizable and talented performers and crew members in the DC Metro area – some who have been affected by government firings. Unlike what our leaders say about workers, I believe that workers deserve a living wage. I know these workers – their talent, their work ethic, their passion for action and making a difference. Join me to pay them what their work is worth.
- But I am not just asking you to give me something for nothing. Every contributor will be recognized in the Special Thanks section of the film credits and a personal thank you note from me. At different levels we are also offering a signed copy of the script, a signed poster, a digital copy of the film, an invitation to a free theater screening, and even an opportunity to be credited as an Associate or Executive Producer!
- All the funds will go into this project, even if we do not reach the final goal. I will make this film and your support will help make it happen.
