OUR FILM PREMIERED AT THE 2014 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL and was OPENING NIGHT SELECTION at the MoMA FOR THE NEW DIRECTORS/NEW FILMS FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY THE LINCOLN CENTER IN NEW YORK.
THE FILM IS BEING DISTRIBUTED IN THE US BY KINO LORBER AND WILL BE IN THEATERS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY IN FALL 2014

THE DIRECTOR
ANA LILY AMIRPOUR
Ana Lily made her first film at age 12- a horror movie starring guests of a slumber party. Multiple awards including the Dini Ostrov Award in Comedy Writing, Grand Prize of the Bluecat Screenwriting Competition and the Adrienne Shelly Fellowship. Invited to participate in programs like Tribeca All Access, Fast Track with the Los Angeles Film Festival, the Film Independent screenwriting and directors lab, the 2010 & 2011 Talent Campus at Berlinale and most recently selected as a finalist for the 2012 Berlin Today Awards.
Ana Lily has been a MAJOR fan of scary movies all her life, and also a MAJOR fan of epic love stories... A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT brings those two things together, as well as her Persian/American background and influences, and her HUGE obsession with music. Inspired by the tone of films like WILD AT HEART, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST and RUMBLEFISH. This is a truly unique love story.
THE PRODUCERS
Sina Sayyah, co-founder of SAY AHH... PRODUCTIONS, is a lawyer and film producer firing out diverse content like narrative films, commercials, and music videos. Sina has a long history working with Ana Lily and they have made films together that toured the festival circuits including Slamdance, Nashville, Milan, Berlinale, BFI and many more. His 2010 short film PASHMALOO sold to Arté Television in Germany and France. Sina recently produced a film starring MAD MEN'S Vincent Kartheiser, and the newest Mac Miller music video. In 2012 Sina has two feature films slated for production.
Justin Begnaud is currently the Director of Production at Film Finances, Inc, where he specializes in low-budget independent films. Prior to working in film, Mr. Begnaud was a freelance TV producer and worked on TV documentaries and non-fiction series for A&E, History Channel, MTV, VH1, NBC Sports, USA Sports, and CableVision. From 2002 to 2009, he produced digital content for NBC's LX-TV, AT&T, Hearst, Viacom, MTV, History.com and UCLA's Department of Film, Television & Digital Media. Mr. Begnaud began his film career at Scott Rudin Productions and wrote grants for the Museum of Modern Art, Film & Media Department, and the Tribeca Film Institute while living in New York City. Mr. Begnaud holds masters degrees from UCLA (MFA, Film & TV Producers Program), Columbia University in New York (MS, Fundraising Management & Non Profit Administration) and graduated from Syracuse University (BFA/BID, Advertising & Industrial Design). He is a member of Film Independent, IFP, AFI, the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
