We need your support to make the story come true.
About the film
A London _ Story is an art romance about a teenage photographer trying to get over his previous relationship and reconnect with the cosmopolitan London, his favourite city.
"The isolation in the concrete forest"
The film explores the isolation and disconnect between humans living in the 21st Century and how human interaction can easily be replaced by the use of electronics. Living on the internet world where we constantly compare ourselves with others instead of being in the moment and truly enjoying the existence of ourselves.
Our director Hugo came up with the idea when he visited London and experienced the city in its purest form by wandering around aimlessly. Being the slow one in the concrete jungle, he was able to discover the curiosities of the city, perceive the unnoticeable bits and connect with the other slow ones.
Meet the crew
Hugo was born and raised in the Eastern concrete forest of Hong Kong. Art and films played a significant role in his childhood. He began creating short films at the age of 16, exploring the theme of disconnection. Hugo is also a street photographer who enjoys capturing stories of the urban area. Most of his work is about elders and homelessness, which has a heavy impact on his filmmaking style.
Tiger has developed a keen eye with the camera through his experience with analog photography over the past few years. Prior to this project, his works leant towards more experimental filmmaking projects and collaborations.
Will has been interested in editing from a young age. His previous works mostly surround the theme of nature and fantasy, however, his ability will definitely assist this urban aesthetic production. In addition, with his previous experience of working with the director, William will be a great support for the team.
Francesco has proved to be a Jack of All Trades, with backgrounds in mixed media, communication, design, animation, editing, production, and most importantly sound designing. His job will be to help the film deliver its poignant atmosphere and moody narrative in a conscious and consistent way.
We all share the same vision in this project, and would really love to share this story with you. However, this is where YOU, we kindly ask for your help...
Budget Breakdown
Unfortunately, filmmaking takes more than just sweat and time, so we are funding to cover the costs above.
Filming and COVID-19
We understand the risk of COVID-19, which led to some critical precautions that we have to make, such as health & safety and our choices for locations and time.
- Masks are compulsory for all cast and crew at all time (exceptions are allowed for the cast when rolling), whether the shoot take place indoor or outdoor
- Hand sanitizer will be provided if needed
- Production size will be kept to minimal, 6 people max (Cast and Crew)
- Distanced Shooting Location (London Zone 2)
- Off-peak period (10 am - 3pm & 11pm - 6am Weekday)
COVID-19 might potentially give us a lot of challenges during the production, however, that makes us even more ambitious about the project.
We are dedicated and we aim to succeed!
