UPDATE: Thank you for helping us reach our initial goal of $5,000. Because of this Indiegogo will allow us to keep the campaign open until we want to close it. Now anyone that backs at the $35 or higher level also gets the bonus perk of the rosary beads. These are the ones used in the film. If we reach $15,000, the DVDs will turn into Blu Rays!! We are now in post-production and wrapped filming in mid October. Check out the perks left and become a backer today! Thank you for your support!
Hello horror fans! My name is Tommy Faircloth and I am an independent filmmaker from South Carolina and my production company is called Horse Creek Productions. Since 1996, I have produced four feature films (Crinoline Head, Generation Ax, Dollface, and Family Possessions) and an award-winning short (The Cabin).
My producing partner Robert Zobel and I are gearing up for our next horror feature film titled “A Nun's Curse”! We need your help in raising funds for the practical special effects and other production equipment costs associated with the film.
ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:
I have been making films since the mid 90's, back when we had to shoot on 16mm film. I love horror films and will continue to make them as long as people will watch them. I was lucky enough to be inducted into the Days of the Dead "Hall of Fame" for filmmaking this year along with Heather Langenkamp at the Charlotte convention in May. Below are a few of the trailers to my films.
Trailer for my 2018 release, FAMILY POSSESSIONS.
Trailer for my first 16mm feature, 1995's CRINOLINE HEAD.
Trailer for my totally 90's 16mm feature, GENERATION AX.
Trailer for the sequel/prequel to Crinoline Head, 2015's DOLLFACE.
As you can see, horror is in my blood! Robert and I are also the founders of the annual Crimson Screen Horror Film Fest which takes place in Charleston, SC. Pictured below with our special guest from the 2017 fest, Joe Bob Briggs.

THE STORY:
A Nun's Curse is the story of a group of travelers who find themselves stranded and are forced to seek shelter inside an abandoned jail where once a notorious nun named Sister Monday was once assigned. Once inside, they come face to face with their worst nightmare! She is one twisted sister!
Sister Monday was suspected of murdering prisoners who were serving life sentences. Prisoners were found poisoned, gutted, throats slashed, but before she could be officially questioned... she disappeared.
Now years later, a group on their way to a fun weekend in the mountains are stranded and take shelter from a storm inside the now abandoned jail. Being forced to face their fears, some of the cast meet their fate in this "Saw meets The Breakfast Club" psychological, paranormal, slasher, thriller horror film!!
We will begin production in October 2018.
THE CAST:

I am very excited to tell you Felissa Rose will be playing the character of Sister Monday. You know Felissa Rose from her portrayal of Angelia in the horror classic “Sleepaway Camp”. She was in my last film FAMILY POSSESSIONS, but she will be playing the lead villain in "A Nun's Curse"!

Damian Maffei will be playing the role of Anthony. Damian has a long list of independent film credits but horror fans know him best as the "Man in the Mask" from "The Strangers - Prey at Night".

Gunner Willis will be playing the role of Turner. Gunner has appeared in many feature films and TV series such as "Vice Principals" and he also played a lead in our film "Dollface".

Playing rival sisters are Kristi Ray who will be playing Gabriella and Erika Edwards who will be playing Ashley-Kae. Kristi has a ton of acting credits to her name but you may remember her from the indie hit "Pieces of Talent". Erika was a lead in our last release "Family Possessions" and we are thrilled to work with her again.
THE CREW:
I am stoked to have special effects artist Tony Rosen designing some key props and effects in A Nun's Curse. Tony is the creator of the famous Annabelle doll that was used in the films “The Conjuring” and “Annabelle”. Tony also did all the special effects in our film "Family Possessions". Providing additional make up and special effects will be Sean Krumbholz who has done some amazing work on many indie horror films.

THE LOCATION:
We are shooting inside a very historic jail called the "Pink Palace" located in South Carolina. The jail was constructed in the 1800's and General Sherman even tried to burn it down at one point. There are some really great true stories that I have dug up about this place and have incorporated them into the screenplay.

THE GOAL:
We are set our initial goal at a modest $5000 in order to assist with the equipment rental costs and accommodations for our cast and crew of A Nun's Curse. This will also help offset the costs of practical effects that we plan to use in the film. It's expensive to make GORE and BLOOD and to make it look real! If we surpass our $10,000 stretch goal, then we will be able to add even more practical effects and new scenes that our initial budget would not allow. Having a lower first goal of $5000 and meeting this goal means that the fees from Indiegogo will be lower and more of the total funds will go towards the film shoot.
I have most of the total budget needed already, so anything we can raise here will not only get the horror fans involved, but really help us with the production of the film. It will allow us to take it even farther that we originally planned. We will be shooting with a RED camera on 4K too! Yay!
I work with a small and tight crew and we are able to do a lot with such a small budget because of the number of "hats" I wear on the film. Besides being the writer and director, I also am the cinematographer and editor of the movie. Robert not only produces the film, but he is also the audio recordist. This allows us to make sure the majority of the money goes onto the screen and allows us to take care of our cast and crew. We could not do it without your support!
