Our protagonist is J.D., a 26-year-old swordsman who's just made a choice to go rogue and abandon his father, Lou's protection agency. Now with a target on his back, J.D. is recruited by Travis and his group of bounty hunters, who are dedicated to putting Lou out of business.
Travis is the leader of IBH (the Intergalactic Bounty Hunters), a team he created after realizing how lucrative it was to protect a galaxy of people afraid of people who don't look like them.
Vega and Travis have a bit of a... complicated relationship? It's kinda hard to remain professional in the workplace when you're hooking up with your boss, but who am I to judge?
Tasha's a former cop with a suit that allows her to focus her strength in select areas.... and as she said, she'll f*ck you up.
By far the youngest member of the group, at 15 years old, Clayton is advanced beyond his years. He creates all of the tech for the team and helps to track down high-profile bounties.
Vince used to be known as the greatest swordsman on the planet until he got old and washed up, like a Blackberry—and I don't mean the one everyone had in 2007. I mean the one with the long screen that everyone hated. Given the opportunity to use his skillset once again, Vince joins IBH.
This team of detectives has the task of solving the mystery of what happened to Lou's close friend, William Morgan.
Lou has gone from being dirt-broke to being one of the most powerful men in the galaxy. "The People" have expanded from one planet to dozens within the span of a decade.
