I received a call today that my cat, missing for a year was found recently.
An explosion occurred near a NS Power generator where she was keeping warm and as a result her front legs were severely damaged.
She escaped during the middle of July last year when some friends who were watching her left their kitchen window open and she escaped at some point during the day.
After that, we had neighbours and local businesses on alert for her and eventually gave up hope when we couldn't find any trace of her.

When she was initially found, she was wanded as every rescue is and her microchip came back to me and I was notified.

Currently she's being held at the Metro Emergency Animal Clinic ( 902-468-0674)
and from what I could see from my visit to her is that she's quite mobile and is eating and drinking lots with minimal fighting.
Within the next day or two I'll be speaking to some vets on what options Mel has for surgery, as well as how recovery would go, and what steps will be needed to set her on her way to a speedy recovery.

I'm asking for 3000$ to cover the cost of her surgery, as well as whatever medication she will need to help deal with pain and infections.
I understand that people are sceptical about donating money for anything, especially with the rise of people capitalizing on injuries and sad stories So I will
include a link to my FB to answer any further questions!
