About the Director
Angel Alvarez was born and raised in Southern California. It was here that he learned his love for acting and movies. He then moved to Atlanta and started his own successful sales company. As the film industry continued to move to Atlanta, Angel found himself back in acting classes and on sets. After a class project involved making a short film, Angel fell in love with filmmaking. He started to make films as frequently as he could to practice and refine his craft. He began building a crew, growing his sets, and competing in film festivals. Since then, he has made 20 short films and won over a hundred awards. This included several awards for Best Director and Best Film on his shorts Misophonia, The Final Cut, Heist Night, and, of course, AAi-RON.
About the Short
AAi-RON was Angel's most successful short film. The narrative is relevant to the role of AI today, but more importantly, the audience falls in love with the likable characters and witty humor. The script was easy to expand into an exciting, full-length romantic comedy feature film. The new plot further dives into Cindy's deeper connection with Aaron, the AI replacement of her dead fiancé, but also introduces new diverse characters, love stories, and even a kidnapping.
About Our Contributors
Our contributors are what will help us take this film from good to great! We have had conversations with a few major producers that have seen our shorts and are interested in watching the film upon completion. We have a goal of selling our feature film to Netflix and then continue to make films and grow!

Funding: AAi-RON 2.0 already has a strong foundation for its budget, but we are seeking $40,000 to pay for:

Our reach goal of $60,000 allows us to attract a name actor to our set! Any contribution of any size would help with our funding goals and be hugely appreciated!

Whatever funding amount we receive, even if it is short of our goal, the film will still be made, it will just lack the extra features (better lighting, coloring, sound, etc.) that will truly make it stand out amongst the other comedy films being produced right now.
The Impact
In addition to the engaging storyline, we are thrilled to introduce AAi-RON 2.0 feature to the world as we have consciously crafted a narrative that resonates with the current social conversations. Our goal was to showcase a wide range of diverse characters that represent different backgrounds, fostering unity and laughter through feel-good comedy.
Challenges
There are always challenges when making a film. However, our crew has had years of experiences together, so we have encountered and overcome many common issues! The biggest challenges faced on sets stem from disorganization. We have made it a point to hire crew members with precise roles so we optimize our productivity and minimize issues.
For example, one of the biggest issues a set can face is having no DP for the day (i.e. they call out sick). We always have at least two DPs on set to ensure filming can stay on schedule.
